Thanks for the replies...let me clarify,it's not just jobs it's every step I take I get hit with something always going wrong! I'm aware these may be the last days and bad things come upon the earth,but why I am I being hit so hard! You'd think I was the worst person in the world! I realize part of it may be the hell on earth area I live in,I've noticed it's alot worse here...
if you never bump into the devil, it's because your going the same way that he is
so trials and hardships are often an indication that you're moving in the right direction, spiritually speaking - the devil is pulling out all the stops to discourage you.
remember that God isn't the one who brings temptations (James 1:13, 14); He knows what you will do -it's the devil that isn't sure.
first of all, make your words about yourself agree with what God says about you as a reborn believer; that you are blessed, you triumph through Jesus, you overcome what raises itself against you. here's something i say when it seems that things aren't going good for me:
"i'm blessed and highly favored, and not moved by my circumstances; i'm moved only by the word of God, and He says that i am prosperous, and an overcomer. even if it looks like i'm discouraged on the outside, on the inside i stand in faith and believe to see the goodness of God in the land of the living."
next, seek God's leading in everything, no matter how trivial it mat seem to you. if you have a choice between a pepsi and a coke, ask God which to choose (He would know if one has a piece of glass in it) - this will keep you in fellowship with Him and your 'inner ear' tuned to hear His still, small voice above the roar of the world.
in order to recognize His leading, make it a priority to learn about His character and will by studying His word; as He will never lead you contrary to His word.
remember that David ran from Saul for 13 years after he was anointed King in Saul's place before he actually became king; and that when it looked like he had lost everything and would never see the throne, he encouraged himself in the Lord his God (1Sam 30:1-6).
and remember what 'light afflictions' Paul went through, and how he overcame all; finishing his ministry in spite of all the resistance - and how God has honored him in His word because of his faithfulness to follow His leading:
2Co 11:25-27
(25) Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
(26) In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
(27) In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
2Co 4:13-18
(13) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
(14) Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
(15) For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
(16) For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
(17) For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
(18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
