Dear Aibrean
Its TERRIBLE that your mom got cancer.
That is NO blessing - is it?
And Praise the LORD, for miracles too! I am with you on that!
But something greater than miracles is living under the blessing.
And that is what I am showing you, is available in JESUS.
GOD is not out cursing anyone, and like you correctly said
JESUS was cursed for us, so that we can inherit the blessing
(here is the following verse)
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Galatians 3:14
But we fall under the curse, by our attempted submitting to the law, and trying to keep the law and teaching others to do so - read again Galatians.
If you try to keep ANY part of the law, you are required to keep ALL of it.
If you FAIL to keep ALL of it, you are put under the curse. Galatians 3:10
You are also cursed if you don't love JESUS.
If anyone does not love the Lord--a curse be on him. 1 Corinthians 16:22
There are all kinds of laws we've been fed by the institutional church that we
try to keep, and when we do that, we are leaving GRACE and following the law.
Its really that simple.
Tithing, Sabath Keeping, Hundreds of Denominational Rules, these are just some of the many things 'we try to keep' as 'good christians', that as Paul said 'cut us off from grace'.
Paul's trouble was 'circumcision', they wanted to 'add' circumcision to the GOSPEL.
You can't add a single thing to what's been done - if you do, then you are falling from GRACE (on your own) and putting yourself under the curse of the law.
Ask the LORD to teach you.
Or instead wonder all your life, why all kinds of bad things continue to happen.
Its not wrong to ask the question, 'am I cursed' - that was the question wasn't it?

Paul had false Apostles going to the churches he had started and they were preaching that the only way to heaven was by obeying the law of Moses. Paul wrote this letter to try and keep the church from wandering from the faith and entering into the covenant of the law and coming under its rules and curses.
Now, the key to being under the curses of the law is that you must first enter into that covenant by being circumcised and following all the rules it contained. If you didn't then you would come under its curses.
So, unless a person submits himself to the law and gets circumcised, and sacrifices the proper animal for his sins then he isn't under the law. And even if he had mistakenly turned to the law he could always go to the Lord and repent and be forgiven of it.
Also this Scripture:
1 Corinthians 16:22 (King James Version)
22) If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
simple means that if any man doesn't love the Lord, let him be left behind when the Lord returns.
Paul said pretty much the same thing at the beginning of his Letter:
Galatians 1:7-9 (Amplified Bible)
7) Not that there is [or could be] any other [genuine Gospel], but there are [obviously] some who are troubling and disturbing and bewildering you [with a different kind of teaching which they offer as a gospel] and want to pervert and distort the Gospel of Christ (the Messiah) [into something which it absolutely is not].
8) But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to and different from that which we preached to you, let him be accursed (anathema, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)!
9) As we said before, so I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel different from or contrary to that which you received [from us], let him be accursed (anathema, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)!
And about the story of Job. When we study it we must remember that Job wasn't a born again Christian and still belonged to satan even though he served and worshiped God. If he had been "in Christ" satan would not have any right to accuse Job of anything.
Romans 8:33-34 (Amplified Bible)
33) Who shall bring any charge against God's elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]
34) Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?
Blessings,
Alan
