As I shared in another thread Jesus has set me free from thinking Negative thoughts about myself! Its so awesome as I was struggling with this issue for yrs! However even so I am still struggling with self esteem issues,as I find myself wondering at times why people like me.
I dont understand why God set me free from one issue of thinking negatively about myself, yet one so similar I cannot seem to get past it. Does this mean im not truly set free yet?
Self-esteem is hard. It pulls us down from positive thinking and thoughts. I suggest praying about this to God and with his love he will help you through this. However, bear in mind, it does not work within a day or so, it takes time.
I hope this bible verse will help you:
Psalm 46:5 “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
Hello,
You are wondering why people like you, maybe because you are a loving person and they can see Jesus’ character in you. You are such a blessing to those people around you.
I’m glad that you have group bible study. Continue to seek God in your personal devotion and prayer. As we continue to seek His presence, we will be secure of His love for us. “
“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
Thank you for sharing, please keep us posted. God bless.

Just remember one thing: You are created in the image of God, and being conformed to the Image of Chirst, created by Him you were wonderfully made.

We are all worth 1 Jesus, nobody is worth 2 Jesus' or no Jesus we are all the same.
Nobody is better than you are, you are falling for Satan's lies to keep your witness to God at a minimum.
I used to be very shy and had very low self esteem. I struggle on occasion with self esteem but as time goes by reminding and standing on the word of God when the thought comes into my mind I'm not as good as someone else I put it into perspective not to continue to think of myself as low but to lift others up around me.
If you lift others up in your life then everyone wins.... if you put yourself down not only do you lose but others that could profit from you being an outgoing presence in their life lifting them up will be deprived of such gift.
If you think of how complicated our bodies and minds are we are a miracle in itself we even live and walk and think... to think lowly of such wonders we ourselves are is not seeing reality.
Satan wants us to have low self esteem so he can keep our witness of Jesus in our lives at bay.
I used to worry about what people think about me but found that when I stopped worrying people liked me more and more and I have fun now with people some like me and some don't.
I've realized that truthfully we should put great value upon what our most closest and loved friends and family thinks of us and guard ourselves from what negative things strangers and people we think little of think and say about us. Low self esteem tends to happen because we value strangers opinions of us way way too much and dn't value opinions of those who do care and like us enough.

Putting your worth in strangers hands will in the end ruin you especially in a world that is going more and more ungodly in ideology and morality. I've found that there are "good" people and not so good people in the world and as long as you keep your principles intact and are loyal to God in thought and deed the good people will give you the nod..... even praise while the not so good people will either ignore you or try and challenge you for the attention of the "good" people. Thanks so much.I have been finding friendships in my life to have been closer latelt, especially with
a friend who I was already close with.Lately since ive been set free we seem closer than ever. I do worry too much what others think of me though but can tell Jesus is setting me free from it.

Well, perhaps it is because you are a nice and well-meaning person despite the faults that you admit to having, Sunshine.![]()
