CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you want completely free you can go with dyndns or no-ip. Actually those are subdomains, but they're free heh.

http://www.hostway.com/ - domain names for $6.00. I've only ever had one problem with them, and that is that you have to point the domain to a nameserver - you can't point it directly to an IP address.The Lord's Envoy said:

How about free? Well it's not a top-level domain name but it sure looks like one. Check http://www.freedomain.co.nr/ if that will work for you. You can only have like 4 or 5 of them but you can point them anyplace, even your own home server that changes IP's all the time. But if you must have a top level to sing up with your host then I dont think this will work for them but most hosts don't require that you use a top level name.

You may not find 'cheaper'. Most are comparable. I use 'godaddy' and find them very dependable and reasonable for the last 10 years. All the best. Let me know if you need help with hosting as well.
