I decided to look up that word and interesting enough, the greek word used for that in 2 Corin is very similar to the greek word used for that

2Cr 9:7
each one, according as he doth purpose in heart, not out of sorrow or out of necessity,
for a cheerful/ilaron<2431> giver doth God love,

Strong's Number G2431 matches the Greek &#7985;&#955;&#945;&#961;&#8057;&#962; (hilaros), which occurs 1 time in 1 verse in the Greek concordance

2431. hilaros hil-ar-os' from the same as 2436; propitious or merry ("hilarious"), i.e. prompt or willing:--cheerful.

When someone would use one verse to try and contradict another one. I find myself doing that at times, but a proper explanation of understanding would avoid such assumptions.
