Cant blame it all on harry potter. Theres been music since the 60s or 70s that speak of magic like its a good thing. I think even long before that, going back through the old testament, some people who were unfamiliar with the power of God have always been impressed with magic

The bible repeatedly shows how magic and sorcery cant compare to the power of God

i think most people put it down to fantasy, but yes some people might misuse what they learned when they were young. Harry Potter fights the bad guys though that might encourage them to use magic for good.

It is silly to blame a game for the sin people end up doing unless the game teaches them to do outright sorcery or wickedness it is just a game, not real.

Yes, I wasn't a Christian yet and I even felt I shouldn't watch those movies, including the Twilight saga. I watched the first two and then I started sensing something was wrong. I had an uneasy feeling. I pay a lot of attention to what I watch now.

It is just our fallen nature that is easily drawn away from God and towards what glorifies the enemy.

No, I don't believe it can "make" someone do witchcraft. However, I believe that it does open the door for spirits of witchcraft/rebellion, etc. This can manifest in different ways in people's lives.

I believe we start becoming what we surround ourselves with. It's starts off slowly and subconsciously, but after a while watching things that should bother you, don't anymore. It's a vessel to let sin in our lives. Personally I had to cut out almost all secular TV. I noticed even PG shows use the Lord's name in vain on a regular basis.
