• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

It must be hard to live with so much fear... I am sorry you feel this way
Perhaps, if your clothes are an issue, you could wear something less likely to attract attention..
I think everyone shares your worry about bills and living expenses at the moment.. but God does provide, even when we can't see how He is going to do it.
Perhaps if you apply for jobs, you may be pleasantly surprised.

God has not given us a spirit of fear. We are children of God and he has given us power and authority throufh the Holy Spirit. When we do fear, we can run to Him, because He is our strongtower.

This song was sort of an anthem for me a couple of years ago. I was building a house for a family who had a house fire and they lost everything. They, and their 4 kids, barely escaped. They are doing very well now, and have a nice safe new home.

I'm afrad that I could be beaten up or even killed because I draw attention to myself with my clothes. Furthermore I'm afraid of paying bills, rent etc. because in bigger towns in my country everything is more expensive but people don't usually earn much more money.

Where did you get these thoughts from? What if you really do make it but your fear keeps you from succeeding. Why don't you step out of the boat like peter and try, God will supply all your needs.

But what if I don't succeed? I prefer killing myself to trying anything. I've never been a risk-taker. Taking a risk is too dangerous.

empe80, you were not meant to live a static life. Your life was meant to serve God, and for this to be possible, yes, there will be risks.

May I suggest? Give your life to God completely, ask Him to walk with you as you take those risks that can help you heal.

I am praying for you.

I am so sorry for your loss brother.
None of us really deserve to be alive.. but God's grace is awesome, and He plans our lives.
You are a unique and beloved person, and you are here because God wants you to be.
Praying for you and your family

God took away my grandmother a few hours ago. I liked her so much. She was 87 but it doesn't matter. I don't think it's fair. She loved life. She was very talkative, warm-hearted woman. I should have died before she did. She deserved to be alive. I don't deserve it.

empe, I am so sorry. You must really hurt.

Like you I have lost people I loved dearly. When my father-in-law died I felt like part of my heart was missing. He was a godly Christian man who was so kind, and so loving. Like you I just hurt.

But I reflected that he would want me to go on and live life, and do good. I believe that your grandmother would want the same for you.

I am praying for you.
