I did not realize that was how the Trinity was interpreted here.

It's One God according to Yeshua....not three.

Guess I'm out too?

It's going to get real quiet here if they expect messianics to agree to 3 gods. Wait a second...it already has!??!

Not just Messianics. I only have one G-d too. I absolutely, positively, do not have 3 Gods.

If I had a forum I would have standards as well.

I would too. My standard would be; 'is this loving or not?' :)

I am not taking offence against anyone. But I do believe that this decision is a mistake, and that it should be reconsidered. We are all human, and we all make mistakes. This, imo, is a mistake.

Either you are a sister in the L-rd or you are not. If you are, then you should be able to continue as a moderator. Anything else is equivocation, and is, in my personal opinion, not acceptable on a forum which is here to promote unity of faith, but which has no right to demand or even to expect unity of belief.

If the Nicene Creed is the basis of faith here, then all the Orthodox souls are out for a start, because there is half a line of it that they cannot in conscience believe. I think a bit of sense is called for, as in that situation, where nobody actually minds one way or another, and where we, very rightly, allow our Orthodox brethren the space they need.

Hen, I really loved working with you on staff. I am very sorry, and troubled, that you have to step down from it. I understand the guidelines stipulated by CF, but still I'm sorry to hear this after you have contributed so much as a servant to this site and this ministry. G-d bless you, my friend, and may He always watch over you.

I've put in my Icon change request.... soon I will not have access to this thread (but I'm still "around" out there in CF land) and I wanted to say just one more time...

How much I have counted it a privilege and honor to serve this ministry and this forum.... keep your focus on G-d and keep a humble attitude toward the mods in this ministry, they work tirelessly, sacrificially and totally as volunteers to serve to keep this ministry functioning - this place ain't perfect but as close as it gets to perfect is because they are constantly striving to make it better and change things the need changing...

as long as you choose to post here, pray for them and respond to them in honor and humility and keep your pledge to obey the rules of this forum, a pledge each and every one of you made when you received posting privileges ... in this way you honor G-d and fulfill His admonition:

1 Peter 2:13 For the sake of the Lord, submit yourselves to every human authority

Blessed be He whose Name we serve to glorify!! Hallelujah!

I've already had more than 1 conflict regaurding the trinity/triunity and have been reported once, stupid me for thinking that the rules allowed you to believe in the scriptures, but not certain churche's interperetation of the scriptures.

why would we be required to agree to anything that isn't specifically stated in the Bible?

In other words, why not drop the whole Nicean Creed obligation and find a statement which is actually in the BIBLE to agree with like ;

"I am the way, the truth, and the life and no man comes to the Father except by Me"

It seems to me that insisting that we submit to the authority of a Catholic council doesn't work very well....and I can't find a verse that says we MUST agree to a particular view of the triune (or more) nature of God to receive salvation.

This is a man-made stumbling block that harms the cause of the gospel

This.......is frightening.

I don't know what to say.

A Believer, a Follower of our Lord, is not accepted and is cast out.

God have mercy!

Perhaps the "rules" need to be rethought.

This precious one, this child of God, rejected. It boggles my mind.

Christ have mercy.

The original Nicean creed is used - so there is nothing to disagree with.

Since this would have to be put in question form to be posted I will take it as a question. Then since this is a good bye thread, I am going to have to say that this would have to have a thread of its own. Since this is the hot topic, that caused the goodbye... I will have to say that the thread would be shut down because of the the same ruling... so due to decree of website... you are almost right... there is nothing you can do to disagree with the Nicean creed used and still be on this website.

Henaynei,

I've been reading this thread since soon after you posted it. I'm saddened, but not at all suprised, that your right to wear the Messianic icon and serve as CF moderator has been questioned.

Reading through your posts in this thread, the light of Christ so shines through your words ...just as it has in the two years I've known you. Actually more now than ever.

My prayer is that the powers that be are still weighing your situation and that this isn't the final ruling. For now, I'm so glad the Republican Safehouse isn't a CO thread!

Your sister in Christ,
Laurie

I thought there was only one Nicene creed. Can anyone oblige me by posting the 'original' Nicene Creed for me, or a link to it? Not trying to stir up trouble, just confused.

Since when has the Trinitarian doctrine ever taught 3 Gods!!!

The Scriptures state that 3 Persons within the Word of God are called God and that each Person within the Godhead shares the same attributes. Same SUBSTANCE differing in SUBSISTENCE. DISTINCT not SEPERATE.

You are greatly mistaken on what the doctrine of the Trinity entails. And anyone who believes that it is a RC invention is also mistaken as well.

Not wanting to debate the issue - just to set the misconceptions straight.;)

But that is the reason Henny has had to say good bye... So those in authority have made the same misconception as fact as far as doctrine of Trinity entails... sad isn't it?
