  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am thankful

My son-in-law cooked a fantastic meal last night, and I enjoyed a great Thanksgiving with my kids and my grandson. I couldn't help but think of those less fortunate:
- My friends at the local prison I've met through Celebrate Recovery Inside, who weren't able to celebrate with their families
- My friends at the local mission, they were served an awesome meal but they are still homeless
- My most recent ex, who probably spent most of the day out stealing or worse to feed her habit.

I have a lot of complaints in general, but I have to admit God has been very good to me. I am blessed.

The night before Thanksgiving a twin engine plane crashed into the Superstition Mountains here in AZ. 7 people on board died including a woman's 3 children that she put on the plane to spend Thanksgiving with her ex husband (he also was on the plane).
My heart goes out to the woman and all those people's family.

It made me pause and think of how grateful I am just to be alive. Especially since my husband passed 6 years ago. I am grateful my children are healthy and alive (even though as teenagers they are driving me nuts). I am thankful to know Jesus as my Savior and to trust in Him for my salvation.

I heard about that plane crash. Sad. I'm also thankful for my two boys.
My oldest just left for Afghanistan for 10 months yesterday. ..
So have concerns for him. I welcome all who think to say a prayer for him.

Consider it said! Dear Lord, protect him while he is there under the shadow of your wings, and bring him home safely to his family. :amen:
