Well this might be the beginning of an infrastructure crisis that some people have been anticipating for years...

My fear is there's so much infrastructure like this in the US, it will bankrupt the country or saddle generations with debt.

The great infrastructure expansion of post WWII America was laid down at the behest of automakers and modernist urban planners with very little consideration of long term costs or funding.
