This is how gorillas and chimps are related to humans . As you see humans and chimps split after gorillas did . Gorillas are distinct enough so that they have their own lineage but humans and chimps are not and this is still under investigation. This is usually put as- do chimps belong in genus Homo. The issue of gorillas and chimps being in family Hominidae with humans and protohumans is settled ( despite creationist denial)

I’m moving this here as it was off topic in the other thread

there are about 25 protohuman species in several different genera . Even Neanderthals and denisovans weren’t us . Prehistoric could mean Neanderthals, Denisovans and “ the Hobbits” ( H floresiensis) from 50,000 years ago. You’ll have get more specific as the recent ones certainly were human even if they weren’t Homo sapiens . ( date corrected)

What is "adaptive shift"?
The "shift" sounds fishy. A few shifts can change a cat to a tiger. Is this hypothesis or model invented to explain the unexplainable?

Here we go again. Having to listen to tales of "missing" common ancestors in order to link separate species into one family.

Now one might buy the "missing" common ancestor spiel if every single place on every single tree where species are claimed to have split a "missing" common ancestor wasn't invoked.

But really now, the "missing" ancestor story is getting quite old and just needs to be let peacefully die away.....

It's one of those "magic words" evolutionists are always in need of since only fake science uses them....

http://www.icr.org/article/unmasking-evolutions-magic-words/

Now we can add "adaptive shift" to the long, long list of magic words used by evolutionists which in reality say nothing.....

I readily concede that you are the expert in saying nothing (of value).

If this is the type of thing you need to criticize science for, you're really grasping at straws now...

Not so, since Humans were made BEFORE any other living creature. Gen 2:7 You have confused Humans (descendants of Adam) with the sons of God (prehistoric people). This is untrue historically since the FIRST modern Human traits appeared only 11k years ago, in man's time. http://www.fsmitha.com/h1/map00-fc.html

Aman humans have been around for about 150,000 years and in more than one species .

Not so. The sons of God (prehistoric people) were around 150k years ago but there were NO Humans (descendants of Adam) on this Earth. The Ark arrived 11k years ago in the mountains of Ararat and brought Adam's descendants (Humans) to Earth. We did not evolve from Apes but we inherited their DNA because Noah's grandsons had NO other Humans (descendants of Adam) to marry. Genesis 6:4
