  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is this fossil imaginary?

210px-Turkana_Boy.jpg

Probably not since it is in a museum.

With the weather fluctuations, the temperature hasn't changed much, so it can't be much of a factor in 'human evolution'.

If we look closer at this timeline, there are alot of gaps and no missing links for the evolution, and many species lived in the same time. Mostly in Africa.

How is this theory supposed to make any sense really? The evidence for this consists enough to fit a coffin.

Just accept the fact that it is a made up story with little evidence. And biased dating techniques.

And anyway, how is testing and making experiments part of this theory? We have a gap between the A. afarensis and A. anamensis. and the same with 2 others if you continue to the right on the timeline.

It's based on FRAGMENTS of bones and of imaginary ancestors with no evidence!!!

There's no way it took so long to learn to make a fire and then a few hundred years to learn to go to space.

And the hypotheses of human evolution are based on fossils, not on imaginary links as you suggested here:

Look at the timeline, you can click on the magnifying bottun at the bottom to see the evidence.

You can't get a whole picture of a skeleton if you only have a knee or a tooth. And there are imaginary ancestors with no fossils. Some don't even have any evidence just 'short guts'.

Most of the species are based of of one or two fossil fragments.

1. Being a phone is one of the smallest things an iPhone 5S is. It's far more then "basically just a phone".

2. What makes you think it took an eternity to learn to peel a banana?

It took a few MILLION years just to make a fire.

A baby learns to walk in 1 year or something.

You've just been shown evidence. I hope you are no longer expecting any respect at this point, because if I were CabVet, I'd be pretty disappointed having wasted time explaining it to you.

What evidence? No one has explained me anything.

Question, anya: If you haven't learned how the dating methods work, how do you know they are biased?

I really don't understand why this is so difficult for you to accept. They had small populations working together to figure out fire. We have MILLIONS of people working together to go to space. And that isn't even taking intellect into account.

It baffles me that this is a problem for you.:scratch::scratch:

It's based on the half-life of whatever substance is found in the fossil or rock.

But how would a scientist know the beginning composition of the rock or fossil? And how would they know if there was a catastrophic event in the past that is not the same as today, where they can test substances.

There were little populations living back then for MILLIONS of years and evolving, while today we have BILLIONS of people living and not evolving?

No our brains just grew because the weather was warmer.

You don't actually care. Why are you asking?

Do you think our brains shrank during the ice age?

What is it and what evolution?

What he's saying is that over those time frames the foundations strengthen and the 'infrastructure' needed to enable us to do certain things happen gradually over incomprehensible amounts of time.

Dismissing the time frames between walking upright for example... That's like comparing Computer Processors from 1980 to Computer Processors of today.

Today's processors have better surrounding 'hardware' and technology in order to make them more effective at doing a task that would be either impossible or take much longer to complete in 1980.
