Just so I understand. Keeping the commandments cannot be a fruit of the Spirit?
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto His Disciples, If any [man] will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
Are you suggesting Jesus is a liar and a sinner? I sure hope not!
Don't you think that those in Matthew 7:21-23 called upon the name of the Lord when they prayed?
"All" does not mean "all men
I disagree.
It says that God loved the "world", and further defines that world as the "whosoever believeth" ( John 17:2 ).
That said, it seems to me that you aren't willing to believe His every word, sir, and that saddens me.
Which is not a sin according to Jesus, so you are sounding like one of the Pharisee's.Its not a suggestion ..
Its a fact that Jesus healed on Shabbat.
And not just once.
Which is not a sin according to Jesus, so you are sounding like one of the Pharisee's.
Well you contradicted yourself previously when you said Jesus broke the Sabbath.Jesus is the Lord of Shabbat.
So, even tho the Pharisees accused Him of doing work by healing on Shabbat, He was in fact, not.
He told these religious sabbath keeping FAKIRS........"if one of you loses a sheep on the sabbath, will you not go and look for it"?
And of course these sabbath keeping FAKIRS, could only look around at each other and stay really quiet.
I think thats best, dont you agree?
Why not?
Well you contradicted yourself previously when you said Jesus broke the Sabbath.
I agree, Jesus kept God's Sabbath and told us to keep all of God's laws. John 15:10
Jesus kept all of the commandments, not just some of them. Jesus even quoted directly from God’s Ten. Mathew 19:17-19.Jesus says He kept the commandments of the Father, and spells out what He means:
John 12:44 "Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on Me, believeth not on Me, but on him that sent Me. 45 And he that seeth Me seeth Him that sent Me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear My words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, He gave Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak."
And if you think about it, these words from the Father are the commandments that Jesus gave to His Galilean Disciples... who then passed them on the world.
God chooses (accepts) """"ALL who call on the name of Jesus shall be saved.""
"ALL" will never become "only the "elect", the way Calvin twisted the verse.
ALL will mean "EVERYONE", for as long as God lives.
John 3:16, says that "whosoever, will believe", and that will never mean..>"just a few of the elect".
Calvinism, can. be ultra harmful.....especially when a person has gone off the deep end into "hyper Calvinism" ...which is a theological cancer on the Body of Christ that needs to be cut off.
He was accused of not keeping the sabbath because He didn't keep it.
And He purposely healed in front of these religious sabbath keeping fakirs, to show them..
"I am the LORD of the Sabbath".
See, the law is lower than God.
God is the FINAL Authority, not the Law or Commandments.
God does not need any of that, as God is RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS, Itself.
Its man that was given the law and the 10, by MOSES.....so that we can understand that we are NOT HOLY..
"all have fallen shot"..."None are righteous, no not ONE".
This knowledge, brings us to the place where we repent of our unbelief, and receive the Righteousness of God, that IS our Salvation.
"Born again".
And He redefined it as" "Any good thing period, whether it be a work, or not work, or not, etc, is always lawful on any day", and, "Any bad thing or evil work or wicked deed, work or not, etc, is always not ever lawful on any day period always", etc, and that was the way he "redefined it", etc...Jesus being fully God and fully man kept God’s commandments. God never gave a commandment forbidding healing on the Sabbath. The problem was that the Jews had to define what God considered to be work and they got it wrong. Jesus simply corrected them on this mistake.
And He redefined it as" "Any good thing period, whether it be a work, or not work, or not, etc, is always lawful on any day", and, "Any bad thing or evil work or wicked deed, work or not, etc, is always not ever lawful on any day period always", etc, and that was the way he "redefined it", etc...
So was that going against the commandment, etc...?
God Bless!
