I've been thinking a lot about "Christian superiority" lately, and I'm not sure any kind of superiority-complex is actually compatible with Christianity. I think it's one thing to see Christianity as set apart from other religions, but another to say that it is "superior" to them.
Take for example in the physical world the deficiency disease "scurby" - a deficiency of scurbs.
The obvious correction for this, to heal, is to take scurbs. And it works. Beautifully.
But it is very very very INEXPENSIVE. People can get most of the scurbs they need in their diet with no extra cost.
HOWEVER,
man's religion attitude dictates "MAKE MORE MONEY".....
so
instead of giving scurbs,
a new and strange industry developed making blurbs !
PATENTED and PROFITABLE.(and doesn't work, but that's another story still)
So then, how can we get people with scurby to take blurbs INSTEAD OF scurbs , the profit mongers thought and reasoned together ....
Well, THAT is how all of man's religion acts. They all want to give their own blurbs instead of truth.
And money is behind it. profit profit profit.
So, which is "superior" to heal scurby then ?
Relatively FREE and not harmful "scurbs", God Given ?
or
man made , expensive, burdensome and harmful "blurbs", contrary to God ?
