It appears to be primarily on the decline because of education. Belief in creationism is correlated with lack of understanding of science,

I see, the "you don't understand science" defense. I'm assuming you already know I'm not going to take that one seriously, so I'll leave it at this....cop out.

On top of that, the theory of evolution has been becoming continuously more relevant over time, particularly in the last few decades.

Lets not get to far ahead of yourself, first, will you prove evolution is a fact? I ask because after I've seen the attempt to answer that fall apart several times in the past, and end with cop out comments like "You don't understand science" or my favorite "We can't prove anything with science"..I'm hoping you can do better now....actually, much better. ;)

God of the gaps refers to inserting god into gaps in human knowledge.

Then you did catch on the my earlier comment about the gap of where evolution started.. Good.

And non religions should never make false claims, or can you prove evolution now? See my last post for details.
Are we going to go through all that again? Evolution is a fact. The theory of evolution is an explanation of that fact. Which do you want "proved" to you?

I'm referring to what studies/polls have shown. For example:
You might not care, but that doesn't change the data.

It's bait. Don't take it.

Well, at least he chose God/creationism, over Atheism/we have no idea how life started.

Priorities, man, priorities. ;)
So, you have no impressions re: the fact that the guy that has been claiming for years that by studying anatomy he can see 'creation' yet couldn't tell that a chimp pelvis was not a human one?

Thanks, bro.

I think creation rules, and am sorry for anyone who doesn't. Imagine that, a disagreement on a thread like this. :)
Nothing to imagine - creationists always find a way to ignore or dismiss or co-opt evidence for evolution or to pretend that they actually know what is going on.

God of the gaps refers to inserting god into gaps in human knowledge.

This comes up commonly when discussing the origin of life. Creationists use "God did it" for answers to questions that science doesn't currently have fully answered, especially life's origin. The problem is that once science does fully map out the origin of life (they have various pieces already mapped out), what happens to God?

Exactly.
They don't seem to understand that the 'gaps' that they ascribe to their version of God have been getting smaller and less significant over time. At some point, their God will be seen as responsible for nothing but making Jesus' likeness to appear in burnt toast.
What a powerful deity!

The belief system is alive, and well, and only on the decline because less people are interested in the truth. And a bit arrogant to think it's because of your "gaps" theory, I'll have to look into that one. ;) I'm not even clear on what you mean and still don't buy it. :)

Truth can be demonstrated, with something other than personal opinion.

Nope, since to cannot prove it the fact you claim it is,
I hope we aren't going to. I already told in so many words I'm not expecting anything more than the other times, so not to worry.

As you wish, I just wanted to know which of the two most concerned you.

I care about proving evolution, without the constant BS I mentioned.

Have you taken any of the courses on evolution and biology that I previously provided to you?

That was my point, for the reasons mentioned, no, I don't care. Some things are more important than others.

And you're welcome...bro

Why do you care? You wouldn't want to believe it anyway.

I suspect his resistance to learning is predicated on fear of losing his creationist beliefs. It must be tough to be a creationist. They've really painted themselves into a corner over this stuff.

Have you proven evolution, and where it started? In spite of the claims, that is a very important question. If your going to teach evolution, teach the whole of evolution, from beginning to present, then I might be interested, but until then, to take a course would be like my taking a course in flat earth, no point/complete waste of time.

Besides I've learned enough here and if some of what some of you spout is the result of the course...why bother? You know, things like the "fact" science doen't prove anything"...I still get tickled from that even after all this time. lol :)
