Perhaps now you can stop claiming that God's inspired word is identical in meaning to God's breathed out word.

Cool, so you read the Bible and the YEC literature and you still don't believe it. Well I guess that settles it. NO need to discuss it with you anymore. And here is a good friend who tells me what to believe and then tells me that one of my remarks, I am not sure which one, is "unbecoming a Christian" and this wonderful Christian friend also accuses me of "a flat out lie." And I am a poor seller of fish and I don't know what ad hominems is. I like hominy and grits though.

The reading list is there. Ok. I kind of like the stuff at AiG. But best of all is the simple reading of Genesis as literal history.

Asimov has said that the Bible never says that death began with sin. Of course death of animate soulish life began with the Fall, as is stated repeatedly in scripture. It certainly does clearly teach that in the simple plain understanding of the historical document of Genesis and the theological explanations given by Paul.

Serious question: based on the fact that you claim that the plainest reading of scripture is the correct one, and that scripture is the inerrant, infallible word of God, do you believe that bats are a type of bird?

Thank you. The wisdom of this children of this age is sometime better than that of compromising Christians who reject the historicity of Genesis. It is not sound biblical interpretation in the first place and in the second place it is still lunacy to the unbeliever.

Thank You. The wisdom of the Children of the Age is sometimes wiser than the wisdom of the Children of God. They can see the lunacy of trying to make Genesis fit the secular view of origins. It is not sound theology in the first place and in the second place it is still unacceptable to unbelieving secularists.

It is the Bible that tells us about Jesus. How can you worship Jesus without knowing him based on Scripture? Believing the Scripture is what Christians do. Call it idolatry if you will but it is the Scriptures that tell us about Jesus.

Of course you do put yourself above Jesus when you reject the plain sense in which He took Genesis and how he treated Adam and Eve as literal persons. What you are doing is idolizing "science" and your own fallible and finite mind. Repent of your idolatries and believe the Scripture.

I do not admit that they were intended as history. I don't claim to know what they were intended as--I didn't write them.

No, it was not necessarily written as history. I do not reject Genesis. I do, however, reject your interpretation of it. It is really that simple. Stop reading into my words. It is disingenuous. It is unimportant to me whether you can accept that or not.

Are you sure this is for the Last time? How do you know anything about Jesus except through the Scriptures? The Scriptures are the infallible Word of God, which also tell us that Jesus is the Word of God made Flesh. As the Word of God made flesh, Jesus shows us how to take Genesis.

How can you follow Jesus as the Word of God and be so uncertain as to how to take Genesis? Of course you didn't Write them. Jesus did through Moses. And Jesus took them as HISTORY. So apparently your belief in Jesus is allegorical also? I'm just trying to figure this out since I am just an ignorant seller of fish. Jesus is the Word of God but he was wrong about Genesis? That is an enigma.

God's Creation shows the Glory of God. The Bible explains how God did it.

what about the universe flood nut? why did it take one day to make the universe but 5 days to make earth and everything when the universe is far more complex than earth is.

They are not birds by the modern definiition. But they are animals of flight as in the Hebrew sense that they are winged creatures with lungs. Of course they are not birds in terms of modern taxonomy (sp?) and Planets are not stars either, but in the language of the day the word star means any twinkling heavenly body, just as meteorites are called "falling stars."
