I'm impressed.
Why? I have acknowledged before that, the biblical authors had a similar cosmology like their pagan neighbors.

I just do not believe those ancient cultures were somehow supernaturally scientifically inspired.

I know, but you still haven't got it quite right

No I wasn't aware of this nonsense & the Bible doesn't say that God stretched out the universe, it says he stretched out the heavens.
Wait, aren’t you a flat earth believer? How ironic that you’re accusing me of speaking nonsense. Let me know if you guys ever come up with a map of a flat earth that is to scale, if you can do that you’ll convince me.

Where in the Bible does it say how far away the stars are ? & where in the Bible does it say that earth is billions of years old & that the universe is expanding?

Where in the Bible does it say that people put mustard on hot dogs?

It is not the purpose of the Bible to tell us these things.
Has anyone mentioned that it's not a science textbook?

The Bible didn’t tell us how tall Adam was, but you can sure bet that he had a measurable hight. It doesn’t tell us how large the planet is, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be measured. I don’t see how the distance of stars would be any different.

I didn't say otherwise.
I said that the Bible is not a science textbook and it's purpose is not to tell us, for example, how far away, or far apart, the stars are.

You've just confirmed that by saying that it doesn't tell us how big the planet is.
No; and it never meant to.

Where in the Bible does it say that people put mustard on hot dogs?

Or use computers?

I think that the obvious difference is that unlike computers or hot dogs, Bible actually talks about or describe the ancient Hebrew cosmology on several places.

For example:
You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in the heavens above, on the earth below, or in the waters beneath.
Ex 20:4

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea
Rev 5:13

The point was that just because the Bible doesn’t say anything about a specific topic doesn’t negate the validity of said topic. Like the example I gave that the Bible doesn’t specify how big the earth is, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have a specific size. The Bible doesn’t tell us how far away the sun and moon are, that doesn’t mean they don’t have a specific distance.

I understand that. My point is that Bible says some things about this specific topic (how the "universe" is supposed to look and work), therefore the logic does not apply here.

One would need to either accept the ancient Hebrew worldview and basically reject the scientific worldview, or to simply deal with the reality that not everything in the Bible is technically "the word of God" and infallible.

Zigzagging between these two positions is not working very well.

Since the Bible is completely silent about the distance of stars from the earth I strongly disagree with your opinion.

My point is that God knows the end from the Beginning.
God possesses complete knowledge of all things,
including the past, present, and future.
Ok, great! But how is this conversation relevant to the OP?
