No that’s not true, i explained why I believe scientists are wrong about the age of the earth. I even quoted Wikipedia and posted the link to the page showing everyone exactly how inaccurate carbon dating is twice. That is what you are trying to tell me. Because you do not believe in Science.
What traditions? What denomination am I? What church do I attend? Where did I get this crazy idea that the earth is 6,000 years old and Adam was the first man? I don’t attend a church. I didn’t go to church as a child except for a handful of times when I was under the age of 10. I don’t identify as any particular denomination, I study the Bible and formulate my own doctrines based on what the scriptures say. That’s not a tradition. And I would much rather ignore science than the word of God.If you want to ignore Science for your traditions then that is your choice.
I am not so sure of that. If you go into a 100 year old house, back before then started to kilm dry the lumber. The wood is very hard. Mostly from the sap that was still in the lumber,. You almost can not drive a nail into it.Because the time it takes to convert biological materials to fossil fuels
I had the exact same conclusion based on JUST the Bible. Science and History show us a better understanding than if we were JUST reading the Bible. God gives us the evidence we find in Science so it is obvious that He wants us to know. It took a lot of evidence to help me to understand what we are reading in the Living Word of God. I believe what my eyes can see. Just like I can count the rings on a tree to see how old the tree is.I get this crazy idea that the earth is 6,000 years old and Adam was the first man?
There is no conflict between Science and the word of God. They agree 100%.I would much rather ignore science than the word of God.
Do you have a PhD? Are you an expert to the point you can prove experts to be wrong? Do you have a Phd in Physics or Biology or Geology to the point where you think you are right and PhD's are wrong? No that’s not true, i explained why I believe scientists are wrong about the age of the earth.
I didn’t write that, that was from the quote from Wikipedia. That’s why it was in italics.I am not so sure of that. If you go into a 100 year old house, back before then started to kilm dry the lumber. The wood is very hard. Mostly from the sap that was still in the lumber,. You almost can not drive a nail into it.
I understand your point that it takes a long time to create fossils and his is evidence for OEC. When we go to places like Washington DC and see the remains of dinosaurs this is a lot of evidence that this earth has been around a lot more then 6,000 years. Then we look at the last extinction, we have Wooly Mamonths that still have their lunch in their belly. Actually we have dinosaurs that still have food in their belly. We have saber tooth tigers that are known to be extinct. WE have a lot of evidence that God has given us to examine.

I have very little regard for carbon dating because it has to be "calebrated". I have a watch that is supposed to tell me what my blood pressure is. But you have to "calibrate" it so I do not think it is accurate at all.I even quoted Wikipedia and posted the link to the page showing everyone exactly how inaccurate carbon dating is twice.
Rocks can form in less than a thousand years and the only reason they say that fossils are so old is because of geologists best guess and carbon and thermoluminescence dating.I am not so sure of that. Thermoluminescent dating has to be calibrated to just like carbon dating and it’s pretty hard to do accurately when the object you’re testing doesn’t have a manufacturing date on it. The only way they can calibrate it is by testing object that they know the age of which not very old or by testing objects that they think they know the age of which is calibrating it by guess work.I have very little regard for carbon dating because it has to be "calebrated". I have a watch that is supposed to tell me what my blood pressure is. But you have to "calibrate" it so I do not think it is accurate at all.
But you’re not seeing how old an object is. You can’t look at an object and see how old it is. So you’re not believing what your eyes are seeing you’re believing what people are telling you. Just like the pictures you posted. You’re not seeing how old those things are you’re believing how old people are telling you that they are.I had the exact same conclusion based on JUST the Bible. And tree rings aren’t caused by years they’re caused by climate change.I had the exact same conclusion based on JUST the Bible. I don’t know how you keep saying this. The Bible says that the earth is 6,000 years old. It also says that Adam was the first man. Science says both of those are incorrect. If science really didn’t conflict with the word of God we wouldn’t be having this discussion. There is no conflict between Science and the word of God. They agree 100%.
No I don’t have a PhD I’m a truck driver. Do I need to have a PhD to understand this statement?Do you have a PhD? Are you an expert to the point you can prove experts to be wrong? Do you have a Phd in Physics or Biology or Geology to the point where you think you are right and PhD's are wrong?
Am I quoting myself? Am I claiming that I discovered that the earth is 6,000 years old? No I’m quoting the word of God, the Creator Himself. All it takes is a 5th grade education to be able to read simple English. There are billions of people on the planet that believe the earth is billions of years old that don’t have a PhD. How do they know that? Because somebody told them. The only difference between me and them is I believe the word of God and they believe the word of man. Kind of reminds me of Mark 7:8. That verse should be fresh on your mind. The syndrome where individuals believe they know more than experts in a particular field is often referred to as the "Dunning-Kruger effect." The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with low ability or knowledge in a domain overestimate their competence and mistakenly perceive themselves as highly skilled or knowledgeable.
I just want to say this, I’ve never claimed to have all the answers, all I’ve been trying to do is provide evidence supporting the idea that YEC is viable and plausible and that we don’t have to resort to unorthodox interpretations of the Bible in order to arrive at a theology that doesn’t defy the truth. I want to apologize for my dialogue during our discussion. I have a tendency to get emotional and frustrated at times and I pray that God will lead us both to understand His word the way He intended it to be understood. God bless you.I have very little regard for carbon dating because it has to be "calebrated". I have a watch that is supposed to tell me what my blood pressure is. But you have to "calibrate" it so I do not think it is accurate at all.
The notion that God created a narrative in the sky and in the earth that states the earth is 4.5 billion years old and the universe 14.5 billion years old has problems. These fossil records and stories in the skies would essentially be lies. He created a (fictional) story that is not true. Of course He could do this. He could create light that appears to have been traveling through space for billions of years as a record of things that never happened. We see a super nova recorded in the star light that never actually happened. And He could create a fossil record and a geologic record that makes the earth appear to be billions of years old. But why deceive us? The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth forth his handywork. What you are seeing in the sky and in the earth are the result of His hands. Are they lies? Are they a fictional record of things that never really happened?

There is no plausible and viable evidence. We esp see this with Noah's flood. There is no evidence that his flood was a world wide flood. It had to have been a local flood. But Noah's flood still represents the world wide flood that took place 200,000 years ago at the time of Pangea.all I’ve been trying to do is provide evidence supporting the idea that YEC is viable and plausible
Yes, are you aware that there are lexicons and concordances that will explain each word in its original language and meaning? You do realize that the Biblical texts weren't written in English?
