Bible Highlighter: "The gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is believing that Jesus died for our sins, He was buried, and He was risen three days later (for our salvation). That's the gospel. It's nothing more than that."
There is more in that chapter to believe, of all the Apostles are witnessing, and how a fool is unaware that there is no quickening ( of Christ and us as we are quickened together) without us first being dead/ to die, which is spoken for all those who have not this knowledge of God ( knowledge of the Holy is understanding) which is awaking to righteousness and sin not..
1 Corinthians 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
Ephesians 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved
Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Bible Highlighter: "we need to move on into the Sanctification Process (which is the next step in God's plan of salvation) (i.e. to live holy by God's power). How so? Well, again: 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 says that God has chosen us to salvation by the Sanctification of the Spirit, and a belief of the truth (faith), which is a call of the gospel. In other words, the gospel calls us. Imagine an old phone ringing on your table that says, “the gospel.”
Reading again 2 Thessalonians 2, how God chooses us from the BEGINNING, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth ( need the Spirit of Christ/ of truth, in us to believe in the truth) which is called by that Gospel of Christ ( sanctified for us for us to believe the truth John 17:19)..
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In that same train, of thought, we see how soon God sanctified the prophets such as Jeremiah here, which was also ( from the beginning) before they came out of the womb ( remember the wicked are astray from the womb? Which you dispute against Bible Highlighter but are rebuked of course)
Psalm 58:3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Next, before the Son of man is sent into the world, He is sanctified of the Father, and Jesus sends His sheep into the world to be harmless as doves ( holy in harmlessness, as the high priest became US..
Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Then more is given for us to understand, turning us from darkness to light, that is from the power of satan to the power of God, santified by faith in Christ..
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Then the wrong believing/wrong doing ones, are washed ( clean through the word spoken to them and cleaned of all unrighteousness( 1 John 1, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus( by the Spirit of Christ in them and made one with the Father and the Son ) which is sanctified..
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you
1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Then the vessel is to honour, sanctified, in every good work and enabled for God's use ( God dwells in us and if His temple is defiled it is destroyed)..
1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Jesus gave the way ( the narrow narrow one) and this is it, He is us who is the Father and the Son and we together perfect in one, as God sanctifies us by being in us and we are one together ( as he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit)
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
John 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
We are sanctified through the offering of the body of Christ, and by that one offering we are perfected forever as that is being sanctified..
Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Repeated again for you, from the beginning chosen to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit, this is elect according to that foreknowledge of God ( from the beginning in us) through sanctification of the Spirit, obedience, and that sprinkling of the blood of Christ, to be chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blame before Him in love ( which is the sanctification, it is the belief given and it is Christ in us which is the Spirit of God sanctified in us and we through Him in us)..
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Bible Highlighter: "Romans 8:13 also teaches Sanctification is a part of our salvation.
“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” (Romans 8:13).
Important Note:
Again, this is after we are first initially saved by God’s grace of course."
Sanctification IS our salvation, the Spirit is what comes to us when dead to sins, dead and buried in baptism with Christ, to be raised up together with Him ( cant be wanctified while dead only when made alive)..
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Colossians 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Naturally a person understands Christ is sanctified ,( for He is God) but in the mystery of godliness, God is justified in the Spirit , for our sakes He justifies/sanctifies Himself ( remember the Father sanctified the Son and sent Him into the world) but for us to believe in the truth ( of God) we see the Son of God preached on into the world, believed ( by us) then received back up into the glory He had with the Father before the world was.
This is the revelation of the mystery, made manifest by the scriptures, ( fulfilled in Christ) for the obedience of faith ( sanctification as seen in Christ) and Christs rising up from the dead is the perfection and is the sanctification, when God is sanctified in our eyes ( by His raising from the dead to raise us up with Him from the death) and then the sufferings of Christ are ours to follow ., not a process, as all is ONE ( and narrow way)..
John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Hebrews 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
