I just want to know how much and which sin? It seems we must be mighty powerful human beings to be able to undo the works of God.

God soes not have a problem with your sin. His problem is that you keep on doing it, when you should have grown and moved beyond your sin.

A response to people who say, "Well, they must have never been saved, or they wouldn't have done that", and a response to people who say, "but they WERE saved, and I know it for a fact, and then they lost their salvation."

You don't know who is saved, and who is not saved. GOD knows that. You can judge their FRUIT but only GOD can make the final determination as to their eternal destiny. Be honest and admit you don't truly know about anyone except yourself. There are evidences of sinnerhood and sainthood, but only God truly knows the heart.

Then you personally would have gone to hell long ago, because everyone does that. Peter did that. Then there's the thing called forgiveness. God is rich in mercy.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight - so sin's not the problem then? That's strange because all those OSNAS folks keep quoting those scripture at me about 'sin'.

So basically, what you're saying is - that one can lose their salvation by not growing. Hmmmmmm!

I don't personally believe it is possible, but from the previous post I'd deduce that we are all allowed one murder, so chose wisely.

Let's see, wife or mother-in-law? Wife or mother-in-law? ;) :D

God will forgive you, but the Courts will not. There is a human price to pay.

When a Christian accepts Jesus as their savior, born within them is new nature.

The old nature is still with us, but the new nature continues to grow and take it's place.

The old nature is lost in sin, but the new nature will choose to do what God wants us to do.

2 Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When we are raised up (on the last day) the old nature will finally be put away forever and we will be perfected in our new natures.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

You sound like the guests at the party, during the movie Rope, where they were jokingly discussing proper ways to murder a person, such as "Cut-A-Throat Week".

NO, I'm not saying that! Stop changing my words to what you think I mean and READ what I say! I DID NOT SAY that a person can loose their salvation by not growing! LEARN TO READ!

THE NEW NATURE WILL NOT ALWAYS CHOOSE TO DO WHAT GOD WANTS US TO DO. MOST CHRISTIANS CAN NOT HEAR THE HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL LISTENING TO THEIR FLESH!

Ok you didn't say lose their salvation but you DID say that God has a problem with people who don't grow....

His problem is that you keep on doing it, when you should have grown and moved beyond your sin.

So his problem is people who don't grow and move beyond sin (like THEY actually have the power to do this) - and then what? God just says - "Hey I have a problem with you" then sits back and shrugs? Come on! - I can read between the lines.

The new nature will always choose what God wants. It's the flesh that doesn't always do what God wants. But our new nature is perfect in Christ.

Actually let me rephrase that - our flesh will not always do what our new nature wants - but our new nature ALWAYS desires the things of God. God is the one who gave us HIS desires. Our new nature desires these things - our flesh doesn't always walk in those desires. But our new nature is not corrupted - nor can it be.

Maybe you can start a thread on Who Has Grown Up And Moved Beyond Their Sins.

Then, those who have succeeded can say...

"I used to... when... but now, I no longer... "

I think God's 'problem' with us is that we are too sin-conscious.

Really? Please quote scripture.

I don't suppose you've met all christians to presume that "most" christians are not "spiritual enough" to listen to the Holy Spirit, Jesus or Abba?

I'm really not sure what all this is about a new nature. When I was born again, all that really changed was that I had a new spirit that is alive unto God. My nature changed very little. I still struggled with the same problems that I did before I was saved. I admit, God blessed me by delivering me from a couple "bad habits", but for the most part, it's been up to me to stay on this walk, stay in prayer, and in the word to get beyond these problems. To say that any of us will reach a point where we will no longer sin is ridiculous in my opinion. Also, I have heard God speak to me on several occasions while I was really struggling with a few things, so I don't believe that being in the flesh will cut us off from our Father. The key is to repent and seek Him earnestly.
