Hang in there Sis. They are just angry that they have to bow their own egos to God.
You are doing great.

You misread me. I bow my heart and ego before God on a regular basis. I have absolutely no problem trusting the Lord to keep me. I have absolutely no doubt about my salvation and His keeping power. And the fact that I believe that a person can throw away their salvation or walk out of it doesn't change, alter, or diminish that trust. Nor does it jeopardize God's keeping power in anyone's life.
I don't sit and ponder about how I could do it; what it might entail; or for that matter what heinous sin might be in my life that threatens such security. God is faithful to bring to my attention the things that I must address as a Christian (through His grace). He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His namesake. And He provides a spirit of repentance to establish His divine nature in me.
He releases access to the riches of the kingdom of God in order for us to walk worthy of His calling and He does all that because He has worked in me faith in Him and His existance; He has established that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. He simply expects my co-operation.
Contrary to your opinion, I am not angry with Godzchild and her passion for her convictions is commendable, but the question posed is not addressed in the scripture. Nor has she addressed in any way how the passages brought to her attention about those who fall away. She says they 'snuggle right in to her propostion'. That is not logic or a defense for her position.
I challenge her logic and her method. In light of her resistance to answering the questions posed to her and her insistance on returning to a question that has no quantative answer, there is no logic or defense offered. And yet again her insistance that she can answer that question with one word, 'nothing' which elevates her position above all others also is not logical or a defense. It simply states her opinion in a way that it cannot be discussed. This approach doesn't offer sound logic, a defense, or a foundation for a discussion. In stead it stiffles true discussion.
Her stated goal is to change someone's mind, not to discuss or debate the issue. Personally as much as it may seem otherwise, I am not so concerned with her spiritual well being, holding to that conviction, because I believe her to be established with a passion that overrides this doctrinal postiton.
I am concerned with the ultimate damage to the body of Christ wherever it is propagated for while some adhear to it with the right motives in their hearts, which I believe Godzchild does, it is used as license to sin by many others.
So if you believe that I am angry that is fine. And if you believe I am judgmental, that's fine also. I stand with a clear conscience before God. If you or Godzchild wants to discuss the issue/doctrine, I am open as I'm sure many others would be. I leave it up to you.
Blessings,
Doug
