Of course I know you don't really think that God speaks to people: and I already know all too well that you're an atheist. Unlike you, I've paid attention.
And you're still worried about what some solipsistic, eisegetical "beliefs" might cause people to do. We had this conversation a while back. I disagreed with you then, and I'll still disagree with you now. All that has to happen is for people to grasp the essence of Hermeneutics and proper exegesis and that will solve a lot of problems where the Bible is concerned. It won't solve all of the problems, obviously, but it will render impotent some of their misdirected interpretations which impel their actions, even political ones.
