As a general point, absolutely not. However, if I were accused of a specific murder I would be able to demonstrate to a court, beyond reasonable doubt, that I had not committed that murder.

I would not have proven I had not committed the murder, but I would be declared "not guilty". There is an analagous situation with scientific theories. These can never be proven, but the individual facts on which they are based can be established beyond reasonable doubt. It then becomes unreasonable to withhold provisional acceptance of the theory.

and for others throughout the centuries too. (it is very good advice)

Technically, you can't prove anything right (except in maths). I mean, I could drop a hammer every day to test gravity, but I can never say that gravity is proven 100% because gravity might have a weird thing that it won't work tomorrow. All it takes is one counter example to prove it wrong, and we can't guarantee that we won't find such a counter example.

Well, it isn't outside the realm of possibility that you committed the murder. Granted, you were at the benefit for the Wayne Foundation in Gotham that night, and the murder was committed in the middle of Central Mongolia, and true, you only stepped out for five minutes to use the bathroom, and that was your only possible window of opportunity, but can we really be sure you don't have a super advanced rocket ship that lets you travel around the world in a few seconds? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!

I dismiss it offhand because you haven’t presented any credible evidence for it. You just keep stating that it’s the truth. How do you know it’s true? You’re not going to convince skeptics of anything if all you’ve got is “but I swear it’s true!”

Note I posted "test" everything UNTIL proven true or false,
not "prove" anything. This makes all the difference as you might find out one day soon. (or later).

Also, who is with you that you refer to as "we" that cannot guarantee something is true or false ?

You will need to explain this to me. If you "test" something until proven true or false, but nothing is proven, do you mean that there are two possible outcomes?

Well that is fine, but you should not try to answer questions that you cannot. a simple "I don't know" is acceptable.

If someone brings you a bar of gold and wants to sell it based on weight,
perhaps you would pay many thousands of dollars WITHOUT testing it? no.

Better test it, there is so much criminal activity .....

ERGO: not 1. You did not prove it false , UNLESS it is fake or contaminated gold.
........and not 2. You can prove it, by testing, true gold and what it's value is.

Likewise with perhaps almost everything that is testable.... or some portion thereof.

What standards of proof do you require? That you make the statement you have just made suggests you do not understand what "proof" is from a technical standpoint, but use the word in a simplistic, informal sense. That does not aid serious and sensible discussion.

I accept any evidence of my errors. Can you find any? or must you admit to being stumped? All you have to do to prove me wrong is to show it according to Scripture, Science and History. That's too hard for most people. Is it for you?

The very strange ideas many posters have that directly contradict Scripture and quite obviously cannot be true are still taught in many schools on earth and give a lot of encouragement to continue in the wrong ways. There is nothing we can do about this though - free will cannot be taken away.

The thing you see which is strange is the view of a person with the increased knowledge Dan 12:4 of today, instead of ancient superstitious theology of men who lived 3k years ago. If you find something which contradicts Scripture, please identify it and I promise to change it unless I can support it with Scripture. Amen?

Then please tell us HOW men who lived 3,000 years ago could have known and written the scientific Truth announced last year, that "every living creature that moveth" was created and brought forth from WATER. It's testable evidence of the reality of God since He is the ONLY being Who could have told us this so long ago.
