How do I move on?

Its not so much the fact that she thinks im not ready, fair enough but she should have spoken to me. Shes just thrown back in my face the one thing ive always been good at. Ive always been recognised for being good at looking after kids. Im taking over as the main leader at my Brownie pack in the next 6 months. THEY obviously think im capable.

Whatever her reasons she had no right to go talking about me behind my back. No right at all.

Don't let that discourage you. I was six when I was attacked, and by the time I was seven I'd learned helpful hints on how to disable someone long enough to get away (which is really what self-defense is about.)

they have looked into it but there is no way they could charge him even if they could find him. no proof or anything.

just feel like i went through the really difficult bit of reporting it and telling them for no reason. such a waste of time and all that pain for nothing. hes just going to get away with it.

Not for nothing. If (Heaven forbid) he should attack someone again, it'll be known that this wasn't his first offense, so he won't be able to get away with any deals on that. Plus, the police know to be on the look-out now.

All that aside, it took a lot of guts to do what you did, and that's something to be proud of.

He won't get away with it forever. In this life, maybe. But not the next.

thank you. it did take me a lot of strength to go to the police. i had to force myself in there. all of that and they cant do anything.

I know he will in the next life but thats not enought for me right now. I need to see something done.

once again my mum has ruined another night. why does she always end up making me cry?!

Mums can be like that sometimes. They don't like to see you hurt, but what they have to say sometimes does hurt, albeit unintentionally.

I know that it seems rather useless at this point, but the fact is that you went to the police and reported it. Perhaps what you reported will click with another case, and they'll be able to do something. I'll be praying for you, dear.

I hope something happens. I really struggled to go to the police. If nothing happens it would be a right slap in the face.

You shouldn't have to live in fear at all, and it's NOT your fault. Isn't there a way you can get a restraining order on him?

In the meantime, i advice you to carry pepper spray or something in your defense. Never walk alone outside, specially in area's where they're are no people.

Can you have someone walking with you outside at all times?

peppersprays are illegal for ordinary citizens to carry in most countries and you may be prosecuted for it.

I hope so too. It's hard to believe after so much but i'm beginning to feel a bit better. Safer after such a long time. I never thought i'd feel safe again but i'm getting there. I hope.
