The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you Johnnz and Mobiosity. Im feeling a little bit better today. Still very shaken up though. I cant believe how close to dying i got. Scared the life out of me.

I wonder what goes through these peoples heads. Hey lets sexually assault that girl that did nothing to harm us and cause permanent mental harm to them!

You will get your head around some stuff only to have something else rise up. That's why you need someone to talk to and lean on. That helps you keep things in perspective.

Because of the state of my health i could quite easily lose not only my own life. Ive been told by doctors not to go through with it, but I cant not. It would hurt me too much. Even if it kills me, I couldnt not go through with it. Im sorry, probably not making much sense.

don´t worry about the offender, he will get what he deserves, its just a matter of time. our judicial system is slow but thorough. "pray for those who hurt you ". might sound sarcastic, but if you arrive at that point to do that, then you are really blessed...

sorry for writing that, but it seems my mum is like that too, and there is really no remedy that worked for the last year, its all up to grace that she´s not in a hurtful mood.

Pray for him? He has practically killed me now. He did it all those times and didnt care. And now im so so ill and unlikely to recover completely. If I even live. Abortion? No way. If the Lord wants to take my life then so be it....

first step would be to get out of the impact zone
so he can´t reach you any more.
moving away, changing jobs and such may take some weeks time and planning, but it will work out, i guess due to aggravated circumstances there will be doors opened for you.
step two: survival. making shure your own health allows you to live
and go on with your life until you have come to terms with what happened.
step 3: pray to your higher power wether you should keep the baby or not. if you have no higher power, you´ll have to decide yourself, or rely on older (hopefully wiser) individuals whom you trust.
as far as my experience and understanding of scripture goes, i would have an abortion, because i would not let my enemies destroy my life like this, using my biological functions to satisfy their sexual craving, but worse, to give me a LIFELONG responsibility for a child that i did not even choose to have.
to me, theres no question. a man and a woman love each other and decide to come together (the bible says to "know" each other, look it up in genesis) and become "one flesh", that should be the basis for procreation, the basis for a life that will be accepted and nurtured by both partners.
if you ask me, abortion is the only thing i´d recommend. well maybe theres other people on this forum who are gonna say something else, scripture says blablabla and tht passage says blablabla, but i don´t know if they can feel into your situation.
rape has throughout history been used not only in the sexual act itself to inflict shame and harm on females, but also as "ethnic cleansing" like in the jugoslavia war in the 1990´s.
i would try to forgive my enemy and try to struggle through, on the long haul, maybe right now your anger is just raging, and thats ok given the facts of your right now situation. so you gotta think longterm, if you want to survive you will survive.

dont forget, the master over all the earth is far more powerful than we think, and he is in control even if we are at our wits end. he´s master over all life on the planet, all animals, all humans, he knows history and future, and he controls the right now. so do not worry !

this is why it is so important for people to live balanced lives, to not give in to their sense-fed lusts, but to also take some time for spirituality rather than watching mtv all day and hang out at the nightclubs where people only hang around to drink beer and talk about who is ust going out with whom, or get laid afterwards..
a culture wich such shameless licentiousness that is even tolerated in the church (which ought to be the body of christ, a selection of noble people), is committing suicide.
the offender will get his punishment, sooner or later.
it will be hard, and it will be fair. if the cops will get him, he will go to jail. if the cops won´t get him, then the natural equilibrium of the universe will inflict punishment on him (atheist view), or the LORD god will bring him to justice for his shameful deed (disciple view).
as we know, we are all sinners, no matter how criminal or politically correct we are, so we have to try to not let the hate take over in our lives because it destroys both others and us.

Send them signs and dreams and visions and prophecies that you are continuously present and Presence. Praise you, the Great "I AM"! I rebuke, and command all demons now in Jesus' name to leave the lives of everyone on the post, and I plead the blood of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Annointed and Chosen, the Sacrificial Lamb for our Sins, to cover each and every one of my brother's and sisters who are hurting from such serious hurts right now and at this time. well said bluemarkus, but i have a question, as a rape survivor, the tough issue is , do not believe sex is good design, only believe sex is sin and power. It is such a EVIL thing which created and on this earth.
