I knew no one could explain the bombardier beetle. I guess name calling is easier then actually thinking about your worldview.

My initial reaction was Poe. But that's the tricky thing about a Poe - one can never tell whether it's real or not, otherwise it falls foul of the "obvious display of humour."

One must bear in mind that, when calling Poe, one is effectively stating that the example, without displaying humour, is too ludicrous to be true, yet simultaneously one acknowledges the possibility of either A) the poster being serious or B) the poster being a troll and someone else misinterpreting it.

As an Englishman, I'm glad Dawkins was holding a cup of tea in that photograph. I'm sad that I didn't get into Oxford, since that's where the guy holds office.
