It’s possible to care for someone’s welfare but recognize your inability to relate in a healthy fashion. Her unwillingness to connect doesn’t mean your well-being isn’t a concern. She may be ill equipped to serve you in the manner you need most.
The Lord reconciled the connection I mentioned two weeks ago. She came up in my quiet time and the urgency alerted me to a problem. I discovered a close relative was ill and passed away two days later (after we spoke). She said I’d been on her mind.
He redeemed us for a purpose. Not solely for our wants and needs but the greater work He desires us to perform. We’re meant to glorify Him through our union. Its bigger than us.
I heard a song Sunday morning that drove this point home. It was uncharacteristic for me. I prefer a different genre. But its just like Him to provide a lesson through unexpected sources.
I posted the
song and lyrics. Listen to the words. That’s the love you want to give and share with the people you’re connected with.
That was His message for me. Love flows like water. It moves around obstacles. It covers mistakes. Until you reach the place of love in this situation you’ll never have peace.
Your love can’t be contingent on her presence or willingness to meet your demands. You must be willing to love her just because.
