So you don't want to know why a balloon or a feather floats in the sky ? You do surprise me.
They do not float "in the sky", but in the air. I am not interested how it is supposed to work on the flat earth, because there is no flat earth.

I thought the title of this thread was "how can I stop myself being addicted to conspiracy theories?"

Clearly the answer is, "you can't; you are determined to engage in them and feed them."
So this is a waste of time.
It's your life; do what you want. If you REALLY want help, people can, and have been trying to, help you. If you don't, then your underlying message is "I don't really want help; I just want an excuse to talk about conspiracy theories."

If you put as much effort into reading, studying and applying the Bible as you do with these theories, you could be a great woman of God.
But all your posts here are devoted to "flat earth", "no moon landings", "NASA are all liars", and you have even joined in a discussion which suggested Biden and King Charles are dead and are being played by actors.
Quit your ridiculous make believe and get real with God.

Gravity has not been proven where as density has.
Density cannot work without gravity. If there is no gravity then the earth has to have been accelerating upward at 9.8m/s^2 for millennia which puts us travelling many, many times the speed of light.

I would except this if I thought the earth was orbiting the sun.

Your right I should quit all silly conspiracy theories but I refuse to quit that the earth is level as it is the truth.

Why? Globe earth cosmology does not require things to be moving at ludicrous speeds as your "no such thing as gravity" flat earth cosmology does.

You believe what you like about that.
It's not important and it doesn't affect our salvation.
It may harm your witness to non Christians - if you ever do that. But that's for you to work out and deal with.

I don't.

Supposing you met with a non Christian - either on line or possibly in life. Supposing they told you that their relatives worked for NASA/had written a book about the moon landings (ALL of them, not just 1969)/showed you photos/told you of a conversation they had had with one of the astronauts/been to Antarctica?
Your response, and position, would be "you're lying."
That HAS to be your position - because you are adamant that the earth is flat, so you cannot allow anything that challenges that.

If you told that non Christian that they were lying about something they KNEW to be true - i.e. moon landings/globe earth, why would you expect them to believe you about something which you KNOW to be true - i.e. that Jesus died and rose from the dead?

I don't think I would.

I see where your coming from I think, so you think it would be better to pretend to this non-Christian that the earth is not flat & that they did walk on the moon ?

I don't know.
If you were ever in that situation, that would be for you to work out: lie to non Christians in order to preach the Gospel or be upfront about what you believe and deal with any difficulties which may come from that.
Flat earth/moon landings are nothing at all to do with salvation, so, in theory, other beliefs shouldn't matter.
It's only if a non Christian was a scientist/astronomer/had relatives who worked for NASA and knew, first hand, what they were talking about that you would have problems.

Years ago, on the BBC website, "Religion" forum, there was a creationist who was arguing for a literal 6 day creation, fossils being faked etc etc. I admired his bravery but he was being absolutely torn to shreds by those who knew about biology/astronomy/geology. I don't know whether these others were Christians, or non Christians; I just remember that no one was impressed by his Christian "witness". There was a feeling, among some, of "if Christians are this stupid we are right to stay away from them."

Well if they were non Christian I would first talk to them about F/E & take them through Gen1.

Us Christians who believe in a literal Bible, are we stupid for believing in a talking donkey or a talking serpent ? No we are not, but there are loads who think we are. It is the non Christian who you have to convince.

If you think the best way to talk about Jesus, God's love, heaven, the Gospel etc is to begin with a controversial subject like creation; that's up to you.

Personally, I wouldn't.
If asked, I would say that it's a big topic and there are various opinions depending on how you interpret the Bible. I would always bring the subject back to Jesus, though.
Remember the woman at the well? When the conversation got too personal, she changed the subject and wanted to start a discussion about something else. Maybe non Christians really do want to know about the creation/evolution debate - but it could also be a way of a) trying to catch a Christian out, b) getting away from the subject of sin and repentance so they don't have to face Jesus' claims and make a decision.
Us Christians who believe in a literal Bible, are we stupid for believing in a talking donkey or a talking serpent ? No we are not,
Never said you were.
But the issue of whether or not Balaam's donkey, and the serpent, spoke is not the same as the whole matter of the creation of the world.
Was it created in 6 x 24 hour days, for example? If so, why is there real evidence which says that it took much longer?
Does a "day" mean literally a day?
How were the days measured before the sun and moon were created?
In Genesis 1, everything is created; in Genesis 2, there are 4 rivers in the garden which lead to other lands. What other lands and when were they created? Who lived there?
In Genesis 1, trees were created - no indication about size. In Genesis 2 the trees are already large enough to bear fruit.

I'm not saying these aren't interesting questions and Christians should know what they believe and have some sort of answer.
But they are not the Gospel.
They detract from the main issue - that of sin, repentance, Jesus and eternal life.
A non Christian could tie a Christian up in knots while they endlessly debate something which, of itself, cannot save them. Anything to avoid facing the issue that they are separated from God, have sinned and will not have eternal life unless they accept Jesus.

It is the non Christian who you have to convince.
No.
Preach Jesus. Ask a non Christian what they think about Jesus, whether he was God, whether they believe he died for their sins, whether they are going to heaven etc.
THAT is what will save people.
THAT is what the devil wants to prevent Christians talking about.

You could talk about a flat earth, spend days/weeks trying to convince someone and they finally say "ok, so the earth is flat - but I still don't believe in, accept or want to consider Jesus or the Bible."
What then?
You may have lost all opportunity to talk about Jesus. They may no longer want to talk to you, all because your focus was on the wrong thing.
But say to a non Christian; "you ask me how I know he lives; he lives within my heart". Tell them everything that God does, and has done, for you and that is far harder to refute.

Unless you are a scientist who is a Christian and you know Jesus AND have scientific facts/data at your fingertips, it is best not to get embroiled in such discussions.
Simply say "God created the world and made YOU in his image. You have sinned but he still wants a relationship with YOU. What are YOU going to do about it?" And then tell them about Jesus who has done what we could not do, and reconciled us to God.
