Sure. Anyone can be wrong. But the apologist should not tell me I'm not allowed to render judgement.
I never told you that you are not allowed to render judgement..... I said again and again that I am only here to inform that we all might be wrong.

The initial reply that started all of this :)
"You are entitled to what you think. I am only here to inform you that there could be someone much smarter than us that is doing something we don't understand."

The physical world is not the end of it, the spiritual world is permanent. What you call slaughter can be viewed as ascension. But only God knows it and God should be the only judge (i.e. do you support abortion?)
Emphasis added.

I said "God should be the only judge", but I didn't not allow you to judge. I don't have such power. I am informing you that our judgement is almost guaranteed to be flawed (but we will keep judging all the time because that is not something in our power to stop).

No problem. Maybe we can just let the conversation rest here, if you want. I fully understand the frustration everyone has because we live in a world of suffering. I just don't think that if we take the whole of Christian theology, avoiding the chopping off of its legs where we end up looking at on only the moral torso of it, then if we take the whole, then, for me, I'm alright if God with Heal it all at a later time.

Again, it's my opinion that this is meant to be a kind of epistemological rorschach, and each person will have to existentially decide for himself whether he will reconcile with God (in Jesus Christ) over the suffering we (and God Himself) all have to put up with. :brokenheart:

Peace.

I appreciated the back and forth with you, there are not clear answers to everything...

If you want a real soul and not a computer, you have to allow that soul the ability to sin. If there is no sin, there is no good either. So when Adam and Eve first appeared, God just told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge, but give them the ability to choose.

So you really believe in a physical Adam and Eve in a physical garden..?

I think that is a beautiful thought, that has nothing to do with modern beings of this age...

Well there is no proof that there is any afterlife, so you have to have faith in something highly improbable.

I don't support abortion, in a perfect world there wouldn't be no need. but in this world we live in I support the woman's right to choose, up to a point of course.

I think that's a big copout. Everything good that happens, praise God. There is sin or terrible things happening on this earth, well God likes sin and He wants you to be really miserable, so you can appreciate when you're not miserable. hmm....

Another thng about that, if i was to accept the story of the garden of eden as true. God (as he was walking around his garden) already knew. he sent the serpent to tempt Eve, he knew she would take it. And for that he curses all mankind? I think it like the classic joke. Jesus is at the door, knock knock, let me in. Why? So I can save you. From what? From what Im going to do to you if you don't let me in.

Ongoing. Miracles happen. They are not natural, so by definition they require a supernatural component.

You say miracles happen. Can you give some examples, espescially after the advent of a camera in everyone's pocket?

When you say highly improbable, do you have any proof of such? What's the percentage is highly improbable :D

Which point is that? Is it even definable?

Well, God love all, but God is also just. As I said He does not want to create computers that will obey him 100%.

It is like a parent, the good ones does not over protect, to say "don't do this and don't do that", they will let you try and fail so you can grow. Things with soul is guarantied to go over to the dark side, humans and angles alike. God did not send the serpent to tempt us, evil did. God didn't create evil, but He created things that are capable of switching to evil.

Well, based on the evidence the percetage is 0.

About abortion, I don't support long term abortions and I don't there is any really, I think the law where I'm from is reasonable, elective abortion until 18 weeks...

I think it's quite funny when religious people compare the relationship with God to that of a parent and child, I wouldn't drown my child if I was annoyed that they didn't turn out the way I hoped (by the way, God knew long before Noah how people would turn out).

You say God didn't send the serpent, but surely he allowed for the serpent to be sent, fully aware of the consequences...

Just a quick comment on that, yes he did create evil. if you trace it back to the fall of Lucifer, God knew he would rebel and allowed it. If you're sticking with Him being all knowing and all powerful, everything goes back to Him, the buck stops there.

Then you think wrong.

And about prayers, do you think more than 50% of you prayers are answered? And when they are not answered, why do you think that is? It's just the way the Lord works, don't expect any answer?

Show me one documented case of healing. Would love to see a limb grow out...
Oooh, I haven't heard that one in a good few years. I didn't know you atheists still used it.

Which type are you:

a) The atheist who when faced with documented evidence changes the subject to 'why doesn't God heal the whole world then'

b) The atheist who redefines miracles to only be something mega spectacular such as limb regrowth and still won't believe it if they saw it.

c) The atheist who spends the rest of their time in discussions constantly mocking the documenter of the evidence as though that makes their documentation invalid.

Things might have changed, but a) used to be the most common response. Although c) was popular among trolls (who, let's face it, don't need much of an excuse to mock people who disagree with them).
