Is salvation always instantaneous? Or is it sometimes a process?
For example, Abdu Murry had a long process before he left Islam and converted to Christianity.
I wonder if, even in the process of Abdu's salvation, there was ever a particular point where he went from unsaved to saved.
Thanks for any replies.
This will probably not be the popular answer, but I think we should have hope we are saved. I do think we can believe in our salvation through faith, but we won't know for sure until Jesus comes and He made that very clear.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
This passage by Jesus tells us there will be many who will call on the name of the Lord on that great day saying "Lord Lord" these are believers who thought they were saved, who thought they could do their will over God's and that they could practice lawlessness. How many people teach today who claim to be believers but teach Jesus put an end to the law, so we no longer need to obey. Sadly most churches are teaching billions of people this fallacy.
If we follow the scripture and let it be a lamp to our path Psalms 119:105 it will guide us into all Truth, but so many place their will above the Word of God and try to convince themselves it is God's will when God's Word says otherwise. They place traditions above God's commandments despite Jesus telling us otherwise Matthew 15:3-9. Salvation is not a secret, God's gives us His Word, but many think they can do what they want over God's lighted narrow path. Psalms 119:105
