Kind of a crux issue. I don't believe that God would make random rules for no purpose other than to make lives difficult. Now, if you can find me a reason its wrong, then I'll listen. But the "Its wrong because the Bible says!" just doesn't fly with me.

Yes, that would mean that God makes arbitrary rules, that don't really serve a clear, concise purpose other than for Himself, which He never does.

Using your logic, there are a LOT of young men I know that dont think there is anything wrong with having sex with their girlfriends. They dont understand why God would forbid it when it is two consenting parties and no one is getting hurt.

There are psychological benefitsand hotrmonal balances caused by reproductive organs... you can dislike the pleasure aspect of it all you want,but that doesn't change the fact that the physical and psycho-social benefits of pleasurable sex are well supported.

Fornication back in Biblical times was not premarital sex...it was adultery, incest and prostitution. See religioustolerance for further details. I don't say that to give anyone a license to go do something, but I also don't tell people it's OK to touch either...

No, I said I don't tell people to do anything sexual, is all I meant. I am not against masturbation...masturbation is not mentioned in the Bible, but neither is premarital sex as the form of fornication. Does that make either one of them OK in the eyes of God? I don't know, I don't believe either one of them are technically a sin, but one must go to the Holy Spirit for answers and obey their conscience as well.
