And once again, what's your evidence for believing that most "expert" chemists, physicists, etc. are atheists? What's your objective definition of "expert"?

Would you consider "having won the Nobel Prize"? This chart includes non-scientists, so atheists are actually over-represented (you might care to go through the book mentioned at File:Religion of Nobel Prize winners.png - Wikimedia Commons and check for yourself).

I can actually tell you why, at least why I stopped believing as my education rose, because I started to learn the evolution of religion itself, I started to see the stories that my Christian religion said you must believe, were adopted from earlier tales (like the epic of Gilgamesh v Moses) plus learning the rules of fallacy ( verifiable intellectual falsehoods in an argument) and the bible is FULL of fallacies, and I do suggest everyone learn the different kind of fallacy and look for them if you care about the truth.

Maybe you should start with Appeal to Authority as a fallacy, given that your whole thread here is built upon one.

Also the Epic of Gilgamesh includes a flood story reminiscent of Noah's Ark. It has absolutely nothing to do with Exodus. Seriously, you're starting to sound more like a caricature of an atheist than an actual atheist.

Im not asserting nobel prize winners are not experts in their respective field, im asserting that nobody has every won a nobel prize for proving the existence of god. Someone has proven gods existence, thet would have won a nobel prize for that.

I agree there's an effect. I note it's not a big one. I disagree about what it means. I note that among younger people, the pattern seems to be reversed.

of course it has nothing to do with exodus, Gilgamesh was written thousands of years before the bible, the bible seemed to mimic large portions of that story. neither of which I accept as fact

I don't really like to only look at nobel prize winners. For one thing, many winners feel compelled to weigh in on questions they have no expertise in (often contrary to the consensus in that field), and for some reason their opinions carry weight in the minds of some people.
