• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. help with losing weight?

The best thing anybody can do to lose weight is ditch sugar and white bread, and exercise.

Most people these days can lose weight easily by just having a zero tolerance policy for junk food. My own personal diet revolves around replacing all the bad stuff I used to eat once upon a time with good stuff.

Green tea and water to replace soda

Kale to replace cookies or other snacks.

Unprocessed unbreaded chicken breast to replaced chicken nuggets.

And on down the line until all the bad junk has a healthy replacement.

Just remember sugar is the enemy to losing weight. Treat sugar like the enemy and you are on your way.

I noticed lately I'm a lot heavier than I used to be. I don't want to disclose my weight but I looked up my BMI and its getting a little to close to the overweight section. I get out of breath very quickly, I only have to walk up one flight of stairs and I'm really tired! I'm very concerned about my health! Any diet advice would be lovely! thanks in advance :)


I drink an all natural nutritional drink consisting of 90 vitamins and minerals....After my body got healthier the weight fell off due to my metabolism speeding up...And i didn't really change my diet too much...yes you do the basics, cut out things that are truely bad for you but for the most part I can eat what I want and the weight is staying off...I just keep
drinking my Smartmix drink every morning before I start my day...

Hi Agape Grace,
Break your meals in 5/6 small meals including snacks and prefer raw food over processed food. Get hydrated by increasing your water intake, drink green tea and avoid beverages, soda and even diet soda. Avoid eating anything shortly before going to bed and have proper sleep of 7/8 hours daily.
