So without posting links, because quite honestly its annoying to go to links, can you tell how you belive the earth is 4.5 billion years old? Im curious...seriously...Are you too good to teach me?

Considering the answer to that could easily fill of 8 years of school, I don't think I have time to post it on these boards. The truth isn't as easy as you'd like it to be.

Being able to answer a question and being able to give the correct answer to a question are very different things. I can answer any possible question - I am just not arrogant enough to say that all my answers will necessarily reflect reality.

I always listen to the creationists, but I judge and evaluate what they saying; Both AiG and Hovind are incorrect on many things, Hovind however will not retract statements that were disproven decades ago.

As I already stated, no one knows what caused it or even that it needed a cause. We do, however, have evidence that the universe was much much denser at one point, and that it began expanding (visit the site I linked a few posts back for details).

Wow, it is people like you that make me think twice about ever voting for a republican despite my naturally fiscally conservative bent. It is sad that in a today's world of two-party politics, each side has to pander to fringe elements in order to get elected and the reasonable moderates are left in the lurch.

The measuring of light is horribly inaccurate. Scientists have been able to slow light to a dead stop with the right conditions as well as speed it up more than a factor of 100. ill get references in a little bit.
