Rev 20:15 . . Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The numbers that I post from time to time only tally the people destined for that lake. In less than three years they've added up to approximately 62,308,980, viz: 62.3 million. Were we to add up everyone headed for the lake beginning as far back as Cain and Abel, it would amount to considerably more.

Christ has been designated by God to conduct the proceedings depicted at Rev 20:11-15. I used to wonder how he would ever get around to each one of those people, until someone reminded me that he has plenty of time.

John 5:26 . . As the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

Well the life that's in the Father is eternal life; which is a kind of life that always was, it always is, and it always shall be. So Christ has enough time at his disposal to take cases at his leisure, i.e. whenever he feels like it.

You seem to think that 'judgment' connotes an angry Roman magistrate dishing out jail terms. Why not the Book of Judges-type judge? The deliverer, the saviour, the restorer-type judge.
Where is this benevolent judge sitting in judgement of all mankind dispensing mercy to all mankind? Perhaps he is found in the Book of Shrewd Manager 1:1?
Matt 7
It is not everyone who tells me, ‘Lord, Lord’ who will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, it is the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. “Many will tell me in that Day, ‘Lord, Lord, did not we prophesy in your Name, cast out demons in your Name and do many deeds of power in your Name?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from me, you who do what is wicked.

Matt 13
As the weeds are gathered up and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do evil, and he will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Matt 25
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. ‘All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them one from another, just as shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. …
Then, he will also say to those on his left hand, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels…
Then he will answer them, saying: ‘Amen, I tell you as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me. These [ones on the left] will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Rev 20
Then I saw a great white throne, and the one seated on it. The earth and the sky fled away from his face: no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne. Books were opened, and another book was opened: the book of life. The dead were judged according to what was written in the books, according to their works…. They were judged, each one according to his works. …Anyone who was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire!

Where is this benevolent judge sitting in judgement of all mankind dispensing mercy to all mankind?

He is found in the person of Jesus Christ, whose name is Salvation, and his apostles. His miracles of raising the dead to life, healing the sick, freeing the prisoners, liberating the slaves etc are his judgments and sentences, and methods of deliverance of which the 12 judges of Israel were types and forerunners.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Mt 19:28)

Each of those scriptures you mention address the treatment given to those who are dead in their sins and trespasses and need to be raised to life in Christ, who are sick in their diseased and leprous souls and need healing, who are prisoners of the devil and hades and need to be freed, who are slaves to sin and need liberation.

They are especially the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars.

Righteous judgment as exemplified in the ministry of Christ is about setting right, correcting error, removing sin and reconciling broken relationships. This is the Kingdom, the ruach of the Holy Spirit of the Great Physician.

Ironically it is the religious types, the Pharisees and Sadducees who reject the Kingdom and blaspheme against the HS, for whom Jesus reserves his most trenchant criticism and dire warnings.

Scriptures allot but one resurrection per person (Dan 12:2, John 5:29, Rev 20:5-6). So then, those who undergo a second death in the reservoir of brimstone depicted at Rev 20:10-15 won't be coming back for a do-over because they will have used up their one allotted resurrection in order to face justice at the Great White Throne.

POPULATION CLOCK UPDATE: 1,028 days have elapsed since beginning the thread. If the figures in post #1 are within reason, then something like 62,430,440 new arrivals have checked into the fiery sector of hades since June 19, 2017.

Revelation 21:4-8
4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Although God said “no more death” vs. 4 “I make all things new” vs. 5 in vs. 8 eight groups of people are cast into the lake of fire, which I still “the second death”
Note in vs. 7 God specifies conditions “He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” He does not say everyone shall inherit all things etc. The converse of that condition is, “He that does NOT overcome shall inherit NOT all things; and I will NOT be his God, and he shall NOT be my son.”
Salvation is never mentioned after this.

Revelation 22:11
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Revelation 22:15
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
After this salvation is never mentioned. John does not seem to be aware that sinners will be saved along with the righteous.

He does not say everyone shall inherit all things etc. The converse of that condition is, “He that does NOT overcome shall inherit NOT all things; and I will NOT be his God, and he shall NOT be my son.”

That's the inference that you draw from these passages, ok I accept that.

I draw a further inference, from the following scriptural facts (in no particular order).
  • God is making everything new (ie this is a process that applies to all creation, including sinners).
  • The gates of heaven always open.
  • The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
  • The Spirit and the Bride are inviting sinners to wash their robes and come in.
  • The nations and kings of the earth bring their glory to the throne.
That inference is that the sinners outside can overcome and make it into the Lamb's Book of Life, which is the only condition of entry to the City and La Sagrada Familia.

The fact that the sinners are said to remain without serves to highlight (a) that nothing impure can enter the City and (b) that God will not force them to clean up.

Now, it's only a hope and a faith of mine that all those sinners will (one by one and with the encouragement of the Spirit and the Bride) make the right decision. They surely can't mill around outside the party forever!

You say "(a) That nothing impure can enter the City and (b) that God will not force them to clean up." But you still maintain that God will save all mankind, the righteous and unrighteous alike, even after death? Seems to be a disconnect there.

There may be a gap, as you say scripture never states in absolute terms that the wicked will be saved, but I believe it's adequately bridged by 'irresistible Grace'. God has on His side eternity to work with, the divine will that has no shadow of turning, and offers all the best incentives in the form of the Spirit and water of life. Drawing all mankind to Him like iron filings to a monster magnet. Don't want it? Then stay outside a little longer, see how that works out lol.

Even in our own short lifetimes most ppl learn that it's a struggle to be evil, where you can't trust anybody and nobody trusts you. For reprobates, I daresay beneath that exterior which delights in cruelty sex and violence, is a lot of unresolved anxiety and fear, self-deception, guilt and confusion. Not easy to overcome, to break down and admit our folly, especially after a lifetime's accrual. God can reveal those deep personal truths to the hardest of men in an instant, and Jesus offers his hand to help lift them out.

That's my faith anyway, and because none of us are perfect and righteous by any means next to God, we need to hope for those in darkness. So what can we do but have faith in the God who saves, who's prepared to go through death and hell to save even His enemies?

Rom 2:12 . . All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Usually when the apostle Paul (a trained Pharisee) writes about "the law" he's referring to the covenant that Moses' people agreed upon with God as per Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

Not everyone on Earth is familiar with that particular code, nor required to comply with it. So those folk will be judged on the basis of their culture and their conscience, i.e. how well they complied with the law of the land and with their own personal opinions about right and wrong; plus the standards they set for others but not for themselves. (Rom 2:14-16)

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

This is a terrible record for the Author of ta pante!

BUT BUT BUT

The Author is the Finisher. What He begins in Himself ends in Himself who loses nothing!

By these three prepositions Paul ascribes the universe (ta panta) with all the phenomena concerning creation, redemption, providence to God as the…

Ex= The Source

Di= The Agent

Eiv= The Goal

The Koine, ta pavnte, is the strongest word for all in the Scriptures; it literally means the all.

Romans 11:36

ta pavnte/ ta panta, “in the absolute sense of the whole of creation, the all things, the universe, and, everything in heaven and earth that is in need of uniting and redeeming.”

**It is not in the limited sense of “nearly all”, “pavnte” minus “ta”

The final preposition [eiv) reveals the ultimate goal of all that is. What has been provided in Christ is a re-turn, a re-storation, a re-newing, a re-demption, a re-concilation, a re-surrection, a re-stitution.

The prefix “re” means back again, again, anew–and all the words with this prefix speak of something that left its place and has now made its circuit and come back to the point of its beginning.

In the Christian story God descends to reascend. He comes down;… down to the very roots and sea-bed of the Nature He has created. But He goes down to come up again and bring the whole ruined world up with Him. -C.S. Lewis

Unfortunately there is no scripture which specifically, unequivocally states this.

You'd better believe God wins there der Alter, and salvation is His chosen method.

Do you have scripture that specifically unequivocally states that sinners will burn forever without hope of redemption?

Greek is now and has always been the language of the Eastern Greek Orthodox church. Who, better than the native Greek speaking EOB translators, knows the correct meaning of Greek words, e.g. “aionios” and “kolasis?”
Note, in the EOB, Paul uses “αιωνιως/aionios,” in 1 Tim 1:17 synonymous with “αιδιος/aidios” in Rom 1:20, see below.

The Eastern/Greek Orthodox Bible EOB—New Testament 96
Matthew 25:46 Then he will answer them saying ‘Amen. I tell you: as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' “These [[ones on the left]] will go away into eternal punishment.[κολασιν αιονιον/kolasin aiōnion] but the righteous into eternal life.

___________
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world, his invisible things are clearly seen. They perceived through created things, even his everlasting [
τε αιδιος/te aidios] power and divinity.
____________
1 Timothy 1:17 Now, to the eternal [
των αιωνων/tōn aiōnōn] King. immortal. invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory unto ages of ages. Amen.
https://azbyka.ru/otechnik/books/original/18204/18204-New-Testament-(The-Eastern-Greek-Orthodox-Bible).pdf
The Eastern/Greek Orthodox Bible EOB—New Testament 96 can be D/L at the link above. If anyone chooses to consult the EOB version I suggest they read the preface which summarizes the extensive Greek scholarship supporting this translation.
In 1 Tim 1:17 Paul not only uses "aionios" synonymous with "aidios," in Rom 1:20, but also defines it by pairing it with "immortal" in the same verse.
.....In the following 9 verses, Jesus defines “aionios” as “eternal.” Jesus used the word “aionios” 29 times, Jesus never used “aionios” to refer to something which cannot be eternal.

[1]John 6:58
(58) This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.[αἰώνιος/aionios]
In this verse Jesus contrasts “aionios life” with “death.” If “live aionios” is only a finite period, a finite period is not opposite “death.” Thus “aionios” by definition here means “eternal.”
[2]John 10:28
(28) I give them eternal [αἰώνιος/aionios] life, and they shall never [ου μη/ou mé] [αἰών/aion] perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
In this verse Jesus pairs “aionios” and “aion” with “[not] snatch them out of my hand.” If “aion/aionios” means “age(s), a finite period,” that is not the opposite of “[not] snatch them out of my hand’” “Aionios life” by definition here means “eternal life.”
[3]John 3:15
(15) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal [αιωνιον] life.
In this verse Jesus pairs “aionion” with “shall not perish.” Believers could perish in a finite period, “aionion life” by definition here means eternal life.
[4]John 3:16
(16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting [αιωνιον] life.
In this verse Jesus pairs “aionion” with “should not perish.” Believers could eventually perish in a finite period, thus by definition “aionion life” here means eternal or everlasting life.
[5]John 5:24
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting [αἰώνιος] life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
In this verse Jesus pairs “aionios” with “shall not come into condemnation” and “passed from death unto life.” “Aionios” does not mean “a finite period,” by definition here it means “eternal,” unless Jesus lets His followers come into condemnation and pass into death.
[6]John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting [αἰώνιος/aionios] life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
In this verse Jesus contrasts aionios life with “shall not see life.” If aionios means an indefinite age that is not opposite “shall not see life” By definition aionios means eternal.
[7]John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting [αἰώνιος/aionios] life.
In this verse Jesus contrasts aionios with “shall never thirst.” If aionios means an indefinite age that is not opposite “shall never thirst.” By definition aionios means eternal.
[8]John 6:27
(27) Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting [αἰώνιος/aionios] life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
In this verse Jesus contrasts “aionios meat” with “meat that perishes.” If aionios means an indefinite age that is not opposite “meat that perishes.” By definition aionios means eternal.
[9]John 8:51
(51) Very truly [αμην αμην/amen amen] I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never [ου μη εις τον αιωνα/ou mé eis ton aiōna] see death."
According to noted Greek scholar Marvin Vincent,
● The double negative [ου μη/ou mé] signifies in nowise, by no means. Θεωρήσῃ[theōrésé], denoting steady, protracted vision, is purposely used, because the promise contemplates the entire course of the believer's life in Christ. It is not, shall not die forever, but shall live eternally.
● ④οὐ marker of reinforced negation, in combination w. μή, οὐ μή has the effect of strengthening the negation (Kühner-G. II 221–23; Schwyzer II 317; Mlt. 187–92 [a thorough treatment of NT usage]; B-D-F §365; RLudwig: D. prophet. Wort 31 ’37, 272–79; JLee, NovT 27, ’85, 18–23; B-D-F §365.—Pla., Hdt. et al. ● The combinations with οὐ μή also be noticed as, ουδεν οὐ μή (Lu. 10:19); οὐ μή se σε άνο ουδ ου σε εγκαταιπο (Heb. 13:5); ουκετι οὐ μή (Rev. 18:14). There is no denying the power of this accumulation of negatives. Cf. the English hymn "I'll never, no never, no never forsake."

Amen.

And I say it translates as 'a world of (corrective) punishment', as aion is often translated as 'world' and kolasis comes from the root to prune, and can be contrasted to timoria.

Nonsense! What you think is irrelevant. Native Greek speaking scholars translated the Eastern Orthodox Bible which I posted several times.
In 1898 E.W. Buillinger wrote a book titled "Figures of Speech used in the Bible." He documented more than 200 figures of speech. One of those is "Epezeuxis" the doubling of words for emphasis. Hebrew had no superlatives so to emphasize a word it would be repeated. One of the earliest examples is in Genesis 2:7, where God tells Adam "in the day that you eat of the fruit you will certainly die." In Hebrew that is "Muth t'muth" dying you shall die.
So when we see words like "for ever and ever," that is epezeuxis. I have already provided my evidence multiple times
