CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As you know, right now I'm going through an extremely tough time and it's bad enough I have to defend my faith on the outside, but from within as well? Somewhere I thought was a safe place. When I want to debate my faith, I go to other forums (like the theology one where all the mainstreamers are defending eating swine)
There needs to be somewhere safe to discuss my faith - if not here, then where?

Who is the "ONLY" Eternal anything? Y H V H ! Erernal flames, eternal punishment, all the Eternal's No on elses! When Yeshua speaks of these He is speaking of the Heavenly Fathers activities.
If you can find where "ever burning" means an eternity, show me!
Sodom and Gohmorah were destroyed by Eternal flame. Yet it is not still burning!
The Eternal sent His flames on the altar Ellijah, consumed the offering, the wood the stones and the dust. Yet it was not forever!
The flames of the altar were eternal, but do not burn today.
I am sorry you feel people must burn forever! Those lost, will be consumed ey the Eternal's fire from heaven, we will tred on the ashes in the koshered Earth.

Well there you have it. Two posters have declared that there is no hell. So on their merit I guess I'll just have to disregard all the scripture posted here and change my mind. I always thought the Word if G~d was up for revision. Thanks guys!

Oh no, I don't think that is it. I've invited people over a time or two. The Spirit will guide us to those who have a heart for Torah. I know the lady and she wouldn't just put out an open invitation to just anyone who would like to come.
We get folks in here giving us hassles all the time, just not so many at once at the same time.

I know she didn't do it --- I just thought it was "odd" it happened right after she said she thought it was a good idea. The enemy attacks just like that
Of course the other boards have a few posts every coupld of days or so so I'm sure some of them are looking for attention (of any kind)

Hey.
School was alright, but at times it went slow. I aced all of my tests. Except the one in Integrated Business Applications, but he gave us all an extra ten points, so I passed. The visit with my relatives was pretty fun, it was good seeing my baby cousin again.

Where does the Bible say Hell is not in God's presence? God is omnipresent. He would be in Hell too.
I get the feeling you find destruction to be unpalatable due to some need to see others pay for their misdeeds. But, for all you know Hitler may end up in Heaven. I don't think you'd be happy about that, over him ceasing to exist.

Do you know what Gei-Hinnom is? It's the Valley of Hinnom. It was a garbage dump outside Jerusalem where they set trash on fire. That's a metaphoric verse, referring to the purifying fires of Gehenna. The fires are described as eternal, not the people in them.

Hell, as Christians preach it, does not exist in Judaism. It's a concept that developed likely from the Persians in the 2nd and 3rd Century BC. Many Jews believe Gehenna is a 1 year purgatory style place for purification so that everyone may reach Olam Ha Ba.
There is no eternal torment type Hell in Judaism.

Well, the Bible has been altered since it was written, so I'd say it's always been up for revision. (And yes, there is evidence. The early church fathers personally witnessed the early scriptures being altered, both by accident and on purpose).
The Bible is also not the Word of God, Yeshua is. To claim otherwise is idolatry.
