Because there are certain people who are not submissive to the One True God.Why is Hell necessary?
Jesus was not commisioned by God, he is God.I believe in a loving God, who inspired a man, Jesus of Nazareth, to promote peace and love to the regions of the world.
If you are implying there is no hell, Jesus says there is a Hell. He says it in Matthew 5:29-30, 18:9.Why do we need to believe in a fiery pit of doom where those who oppose our message (or what we think is God's message) must live for eternity? Where does the Gracious God fit in the Mercy, Forgiveness, and Divine love package? The answer, "In this life," doesn't work for many people. Many people are turned off of Christianity because they were molested by priests, etc., or other things out of their control. When is their chance?
Well, didn't Jesus say repent and be baptized or you will go to a place were there will be weeping and nashing of teeth? The Christian God is a God of second chances, a God who I believe cares that we grow into loving people. How are we do to so when we recruit our faith by threatening people with eternal death?
It is entirely neccesary. If we all went to without the acceptance of Christ, why did he come? Those who hate him burn forever, those who love him don't.My point is, a belief in Hell is unnecessary. We can still make decisions that people would be more happier with Jesus without threatening eternal death, and we can admit that even those who enter the vineyard last of all will still have a chance.
They are not unrelated. God created hell as a prison. Is a place of chains and darkness. Chain imply prison. God created all things, were did hell come from?It doesn't mean you can't believe in God anymore. Hell and God are unrelated. The Hell talked about in the Bible (with the exception of Revelation) is not the hell that Christians promote today. It was merely the place of death.
You are right he does not want any to burn, but that does not change that people do. Jesus is clear who goes to Hell, those who do not honor him and his father perish. They do not enter the kindgom. It is one thing to never hear the Gospel, but another for Satanists and others who know who Jesus is.Give it up. For the future of your ministries, your mental well-beings, and your friend's salvation, give Hell up. Reclaim belief in a loving God who doesn't want people to burn for eternity, but wants them to be better people. Get out of this black/white mentality and start letting go and letting God impact people, without the threat of death. Let God be God and stop trying to decide who's at the head of the class and who gets detention.

You don't think that people should know that God has offered them a way not to go to Hell? That's not very loving.
My point is, a belief in Hell is unnecessary. We can still make decisions that people would be more happier with Jesus without threatening eternal death, and we can admit that even those who enter the vineyard last of all will still have a chance.
What does Heb 9:27 say about this?
The Hell talked about in the Bible (with the exception of Revelation) is not the hell that Christians promote today. It was merely the place of death.
It was not merely the "place of death". I think your confusion comes from the fact that there are six or seven words that are commonly translated as "Hell".
Give it up. For the future of your ministries, your mental well-beings, and your friend's salvation, give Hell up.
Are there any other Biblical teachings that you think we should give up, as well?
Reclaim belief in a loving God who doesn't want people to burn for eternity, but wants them to be better people.
God doesn't want people to burn for eternity. In fact, the Bible tells us that "God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." This is why He went to such extraordinary lengths to keep people from Hell.
Good post!Andre said:Revelation 20
10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 14
9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,
10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."
Luke 16
22 "Now the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.
23 "In Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "And he cried out and said, ' Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.'
25 "But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.
26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great chasm fixed, so that those who wish to come over from here to you will not be able, and that none may cross over from there to us.'
God is just, He is 100% just , therefore He cannot leave sin and disobedience umpunished, there has to be death if there is sin, in the case of believers Jesus has paid the price for us, He took an eternity worth of suffering so we can be in His presence for eternity, but we must repent and accept that gift.
Then the "what about the guy in Africa who never heard about Jesus" question raises, well, God reveals Himself to all, thru creation, thru dreams and visions, thru His Holy Spirit, He is Just, so if there is a desire to know this God in the heart of the perso who God has revealed Himself to, God will provide a way for that person to learn aobut Jesus, He will send missionaries, a plane will crash, someone will get lost and end up there. We were all created in the image of God, therefore we know right and wrong.
Romans 1
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse
Pay attention to verse 20, it says that God reveals Himself, being understood through what has been made. That frase what has been made reffers to creation, us, so we are without excuse.
