I'm going through something right now and I asked in prayer for what I will describe as that some conditions are favorable to me. Today those conditions turned extremely favorable and I am dumbfounded.

I’ve received answers to prayer many times. I wish I’d kept a journal of them to remember ... but a few stand out and aren’t forgotten.

I read we are supposed to believe we will receive when we ask. Being as this is TAW, I don’t want to misrepresent that and it’s not something I hear talked about in Orthodoxy. I’d certainly want to avoid the outright superstitious way this is taught in some circles.

But yes.

And glory to God! I’m glad it’s working out for you!

I am so pleased your prayers were answered - glory to God. And yes, I have had some very specific and desperate prayers answered quickly, decisively and clearly in the past.

My first time to ask for something in prayer (I that remember) was answered and probably doubled my fledgling faith t the time. My dad was an angry yeller who seemed discontent with most everything in life. For some reason I thought if he had a new job maybe he would be happier. So I prayed he would get a new job and soon he enrolled in the local community college and got a certification for a new job. He did that job for years too. It did seem to take the edge off of his outrageous fits. I was so amazed at the Lord because my dad dropped out of school before 10th grade I believe. Not sure when he got his GED but I’m convinced the Lord was kind in allowing my dad to better himself at that time. Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Yes I have. I've also received unexpected blessings which I didn't pray for but which I have no doubt came from God. I've also experienced things which were very bad experiences at the time but which later turned out to be blessings or answers to prayers.

I forgot to mention also that I've had prayers that were not answered, but with the passing of many years I came to see that it was a blessing that they were not answered. God knows best.
