Have reached a crossroads

Hi Could someone pray for me please......
I'm come to a point now where I don't want to be with my partner.
We are engaged but hes not a christian,we live together and have two children
ive been told by God that he has a plan for me in my local area(my church is planting a church in my sons school)
I like to become a member of my church but cannot because of my situation with partner.
I don't know what to do?

Hi,

I don't mean to judge, Good Lord knows I'm not perfect, but you should not be living with someone that you are not married to. You also should not marry someone who is not a Christian. Feel free to throw stones at me if you like, but this is what I believe. If you love the man you are with, I pray that he sees he need to be saved, and you all have a desire to marry.

I do not know the details of your life, so I'm sure there are a lot of circumstances that I am not aware of, but I do pray that God will speak to your heart and guide you the way you need to go.

Wow, this is tough. I don't really know what to say because I don't know all the circumstances. All I can say is that I don't know if I could marry someone who didn't share my faith. It would be hard. I have dated some who haven't shared my faith, and it was a disaster, so I can imagine what marriage would be. If you feel strongly about serving the Lord, than maybe breaking the engagment would be for the best. However, you do share children with this man, so he will never be entirely out of your life. Are you prepared to deal with this? He in effect becomes an ex-husband. He is entitled to rights in regards to his children. So, even though you may not be living together anymore, he will still be a part of your life.

Do you feel that there is a chance he might become involved in this new chruch and through his involvement, give his life to God? Perhaps once he sees you and his children involved, he may want to become involved as well.
