John was not pointing to Rome with the "great city". The Revelation was Christ's giving it to John in order to give it to the seven Churches. John wrote down the visions he was given. When the seven kings of Rev.17 are being mentioned, that is the angel telling John what they represent, not John interpreting for us.

Because of the Daniel prophecy, we know the beast kingdom was Rome represented by the legs of iron which had power over Jerusalem during the Apostle's days, and Domitian being emperor during this time of John in prison on Patmos being the 6th beast king.

But the prophecy goes on past the 6th one, and since the ones prior to the legs of iron were not... about Rome, there is no reason to think the final beast king will be a pope.

Instead, with just a little common sense, it is much easier to realize that the orthodox Jews would never receive a Christian pope as their awaited Messiah, when the requirement those Jews have is that Messiah will be a king of the house of David. And since the prophecy in Daniel about the coming "vile person" or "little horn" is about a false one coming to power as king in Jerusalem using flatteries, then once again we know that could never be about Rome or a pope.

We don't need common sense but reading and understanding the scriptures? The book of Revelation is written to the church and concerns the church in its struggles and tribulations through its history. John himself said he was our brother and companion in tribulation. In many parts of the world our brothers and sisters in Christ are suffering great tribulation, we in the west are not because we have departed from scripture and accepted the Jesuit preterist and futurist teachings that the pope is not antichrist. Of course he is as the church before 1820 always taught. If you say I am wrong, you are also accusing millions of Christians and martyrs that they were wrong.

RT, you have misinterpreted the 1335 days in Daniel 12 as to pertaining to when the two witnesses appear - instead of when the AOD is setup.

The great tribulation begins when the AOD is setup on day 1185, then the two witnesses killed day 1260, the rising day 1263.5, then the 7th trumpet sounds, then the war in heaven, then Satan cast down, with the time, times, half times left.

The great tribulation lasts not a sliver of time, but 1335 days.

I have gone 20-25 years without receiving understanding on subjects from God. But when I hear from the Holy Spirit on a subject I understand that voice. So you might think I have misinterpreted something, but I have not. You are still seemingly interpreting this via an old interpretation, and the math doesn't even match up. The Midway point is 1260 Days and you actually have to place 1335 days in the last half of the week, which of course doesn't add up nor make any sense. It will not fit.

The way you are trying to interpret Dan. 12 can not work, because the 1290 must come before the 1260, but you don't see that, hence you will not get it until you figure that out.

The 1290 means 1230 days into the 2520 Days of Jacobs Troubles/70th Week. Then in the Middle of the Week Israel will be scattered, flee Jerusalem. I really don't see how anyone that can add simple equations can get this wrong.

The GREATEST TROUBLES Jesus spoke of via Israel will not last long because God protects them in the Wilderness, they will still have troubles, and there will still be a few Jews being sought, but the GREATEST TROUBLES EVER is a specific time frame. When God protects the Jews in the Wilderness how can they still be in GREAT PERIL? Its semantics, but then again so is the word TRIBULATIONS.

No, I place the beginning of the 1335 days on day 1185. Day 1185 is 75 days before day 1260.

Therefore 75 days are in the first half and 1260 days are in the second half.

The way you are trying to interpret Dan. 12 can not work, because the 1290 must come before the 1260, but you don't see that, hence you will not get it until you figure that out.

The 1290 days comes before day 2520. It will be from day 1185 to day 2475 - 1290 day. On day 2475, the even of the sixth seal take place.

What the bible says is from when the daily sacrifice is taken away and the abomination of desolation setup there are 1290 days. So when the abomination of desolation is setup 1335 days before Jesus's return, counting forward 1290 days from day 1185 is day 2475, the day that the sixth seal takes place.

The Jews are in the wilderness in Revelation 12:6, which the 1260 days is the first half. The Abomination of Desolation will be setup on day 1185, which the Jews begin to flee. When it gets to day 1260, the two witnesses will be killed - closing the window for the Jews fleeing.

Those who don't flee during that window from day 1185 to day 1260 will find it difficult to flee, and will suffer the greatest hardships in Jewish history.

Well, it is not a full 7 years of tribulation. But it will be 7 years, the 70th week.

The 70th week begins when the perceived messiah to the Jews, the Antichrist, confirms the Mt. Sinai covenant required by Moses in Deuteronomy 31:9-13, makes a biig speech from the temple mount that the land of Israel, God gave to the children of Israel as their forever.

Which the Jews and the world will believe they have entered the messianic age of peace and safety.

The seven years is

1260 days + 3 1/2 days + 42 months (containing the time, times, half times)

The pope is not the beast. The pope is not the Antichrist. The Antichrist becomes the beast.

To becomes the Antichrist, the person has to be a Jew, who's religion is Judaism - in order to be anointed the King of Israel. Being anointed the King of Israel - instead of the rightful King of Israel - Jesus, is what make the person the Antichrist.

The little horn becomes the prince who shall come following Gog/Magog;
who becomes the Antichrist;
who becomes the revealed man of sin;
who becomes the beast.

The Pope does not fit any to any of that. The 7 years are in Ezekiel 39, 100% concrete as the Armageddon feast at the end of the 7 years is in Ezekiel 39:17-20. While right before the 7 years begin, is the feast on Gog's army in Ezekiel 39:4.

That's totally irrelevant to the subject in my post. You well know that, no orthodox Jew in Jerusalem is going to accept a Christian pope as their Messiah. And that right there is enough to lay flat men's doctrines about a pope being the false one of the Book of Daniel that's to come at the end of this world.

The Gentiles treading the city for 42 months per Rev.11 is the same timing the dragon of Rev.13 is given to reign, and what that dragon does per Rev.13:4-7 is linked with the Daniel prophecy about the "little horn" in Dan.7 & 8, and the "vile person" in Dan.11. And that is specifically linked to the placing of the "abomination of DESOLATION" idol which will spiritually desolate the temple in Jerusalem at the end of this world by Antichrist.

But you know all this already, I'm sure. You apparently have some kind of block that won't allow you to admit it.

The full seventy years were fulfilled in New Testament days, by Messiah, the prince.

Every seventh year is a sabbath and after seven sabbaths there is a jubilee when the slaves were released and land returned to its rightful owners. When Jesus came it must have been a jubilee year as he came to preach deliverance for the captives, Luke 4:18, that was the beginning of the 70th week. he was cut off in the midst of the week, after the 69th week is during the 70th week.
