I am deeply sorry. I've edited my post.

It's just that in greek, using the name of the Lord while shocked or stunned , isn't considered a curse (On the other hand it shows that you are faithful) and most if not all people in Greece are OK with that. I guess this creates some misunderstandings.

5 months in jail seems about right. I say this as a non-Christian who likes Orthodox Christianity. This case has nothing to do with free speech. Their crime was abusing private property. A church is private property. These people have no right to abuse this property. They can do whatever they want on their own property.

Of course the goal of feminists/liberals is to attack religion, the family, civility, and society in general. In sexist America, women are not held accountable for their actions. I am very pleased to see that Russia is not sexist in this way.

Eh, I think there's a small possibility of that. If he's anything like our politicians, I'd have a hard time believing that.

To me, it seems similar to politicans like President Obama saying he loves his children (which I do believe to be true as seen in how he interacts with them) and yet not believing him when he says he's concerned for children everywhere...evidenced by his actions that seem to go counter to that. At best, if giving benefit of the doubt, I would say that he may not be aware of the inconsistency in what he accepts as "wisdom" in the name of helping children with his abortion policies ....and the same could be said of Putin. He could be telling the truth on how he wants more grace given to those imprisoned....but to take that to mean one should trust all comments by him on how he is concerned for the people/desires graciousness, I'd pause.
