Like the religious leaders in Jesus' day, who He exposed and who sought to kill Him ?

They at that time (and today even) had a better translation than any english translation even comes close to
yet they rejected entirely the MESSIAH all Scripture and Moses talks about.

Same today, still, in many places teaching (supposedly) verse by verse straight Bible.
wow, I am so sorry it offended you that I suggest reading the Bible is a good thing. :/ the pharisees were interpreting (and adding to) moses' law...and talking about the Bible which includes Jesus teachings. What is your suggestion for seeking God?

Sexual immorality destroys lives. When pastors teach that there is nothing wrong with sexual immorality, you've got a problem.

I agree. I didn’t know that was the topic. It’s not mentioned in the OP.

Anything that conflicts with the teachings of Jesus or God is not to be taken in and stifled for the sake of a "Godless false harmony".

It's just cowardice, and indicative of a "fear of man" rather than a "fear of God".

The TRUTH is a "Light" that this world needs.

Let's not cover up that Light or God forbid, snuff it out.

In addition, we might want to examine what Godless "compromise" is.

Well I think in some cases it is not necessary to point out their faults. Like for example people who believe they must keep the Saturday Sabbath. Sure they don’t need to keep it but it doesn’t hurt anything if they do. So in a case like that it’s not necessary to rebuke them. However if it something that pertains to salvation then it is very important that we correct them.

I don't completely understand your question, but in our church conference, the homosexual issue hasn't been dealt with, other than for the majority of the leaders to give their blessing to the sin of homosexuality.
I think homosexuality should be opposed. There is a major issue with HIV being spread by homosexual males and bisexual males. I read one article stating seven million Africans are infected with HIV. It has killed fathers and mothers. Little children were abandoned in orphanages where they were malnourished and poorly trained. I believe that it is wrong for a man to have intercourse with a man. I do not think women having intercourse with women is solving any problems either. HPV was spread by lesbian intercourse and increases the risk of certain types of deadly cancer. HPV is one of numerous STD's spread by promiscuous lesbian intercourse. I also oppose fornication due to sexually transmitted disease and incidences of illegitimate children born after cases of sex outside of marriage.

The Episcopal Church ordained a homosexual bishop, blessed same sex partnerships and prohibits discrimination of transgender persons. Some Episcopal members left the Episcopal Church over this issue.

The same problem occurs with unprotected sexual intercourse in heterosexuality also. So homosexuality is not the root of the problem.

Yes, it refers to removing the HUGE plank in one's eye before attempting to remove that tiny splinter in our brother's eye. I agree.

What i was referring to is what God and Jesus strictly preached against, thus rendering them "liars" and/or discounting Them in favor of something that is more "acceptable" to any who have no desire whatsoever to adhere to what God has made crystal clear is not to be compromised.

What comes to mind, is Jesus, in the Temple, making a whip, and overturning tables, and driving out the money changers.

He wasn't ABOUT to "compromise, was He?

:D

Ah the mysteries of faith...
He also said not to condemn others preaching in His name...

Well now i'm not so sure this has any connection to the post of mine that you quoted from brother. What has this got to do with Jesus violently clearing the tables and driving the money changers out with a whip, as an example of how Jesus Himself didnb't "compromise"?

Nevertheless, no harm done.

Peace, brother.

There are more than three hundred churches in our conference. I can't fight the conference. All I can do is try to influence my own local church to stay on track.

That's what I mean.

At least reading through the posts on this page,
this one does not fit with your others,
and is itself contrary to Scripture directly.
There's a difference between welcoming someone into your church and condoning his sin. If you aren't going to allow homosexuals in to your church, you need to bar all the other sinners, don't you?

That would be a completely empty church. Wouldn’t last long and wouldn’t be doing God’s work.

I commented on my blog yesterday The Realm by Daniel Mears on the controversial topic by Andy Stanley at North Point church when he said in a series of sermons entitled, "Aftermath" that the Old Testament should be, "unhitched" from the New. This is simply an example; as long as we give our opinion respectfully and remembering we are to love one another, I believe this can be done. If we are acting in love for God and man, we should be respectfully able to give our point of view. Sometimes this is a delicate balance to maintain without offending someone. There is only one judge.
You can't do that in a big church. That's why the new testament ekklesia was more like a Bible study group. 1Cor 14:26.

When a church or religious organization teaches something that conflicts with what Jesus or God taught us, is it better to stand up and speak out against what the church or religious organization is teaching, or is it better to be quiet and maintain harmony?
It is better to walk away quietly. You will note that absolutely no one in Christendom will frankly admit that they are in error, and then repent. Everyone prefers to double down on their false beliefs.

What you are really asking is "If your church teaches something that YOU PERSONALLY THINK conflicts with what Jesus taught, should you stand up and speak out?" The answer according to Protestantism is obviously YES, which is exactly what Protestants, starting with Martin Luther, have been doing for 500 years! Which is why there are now over 6,000 registered Protestant denominations, each teaching something different, and over 20,000 so-called "non-denominational" Protestant churches. Every one of these thousands of churches came into existence when some members thought their church's teaching conflicted with what Jesus taught, and left! The result - Thousands of churches that cannot possibly be teaching what Jesus taught, because Jesus cannot contradict Himself, yet the teaching of each of these churches contradicts the teaching of the others.

No wonder Jesus founded ONE Church, said it was to remain ONE, even as He and His heavenly
Father are ONE, and promised that ONE Church, "The Holy Spirit will guide you into ALL truth", and "WHATSOEVER you bind upon Earth is bound in Heaven", and "He who hears you hears Me". Which is why that ONE Church remains ONE in belief, ONE in teaching, ONE in worship, ONE in biblical understanding after 2,000 years, with NO conflicting denominations! You just can't beat God's plan.
The group described in the first few chapters of Acts witnessed the public decisions of members after baptism. Some decisions were condemned as wrong ones (Simon the sorcerer) and some right.

Modern churches, including yours, witness NO decisions. That tells you straight away that the method used to teach doctrine is wrong.

Yes, that is a risk. It is at those times, that the verse about "kicking the dust off" comes to mind, brother.
To join another church? But all modern churches are following wrong methods of teaching! You need to find the right way and form your own group.

Well the council in Jerusalem said new converts didn't need to be circumcised. You think they and all later Christians opposed Jesus too?
