A traitor is defined as someone who betrays a trust, a cause or their country. And it most often references a person who has committed treason. It also commonly refers to someone who does so purposefully, but not necessarily so. So, the only question in my mind is, did the Bush administration purposefully commit treason, or was it by accident. There is no doubt they have betrayed our trust by lying, performing illegal acts and conducting themselves in a manner unbefitting our American ideals. And they have betrayed our cause (battling terrorism) by conducting an illegal war that is aiding and fomenting terrorism. Whether they thought they were benefiting the country or knew they were harming it is the only open question. Their acts have clearly undermined our military and caused the death or maiming of tens of thousands of American citizens. If only we could draft the lot of them and send them to Fallujah.
