  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hanging out?

Hey it worked!
@ Miche - I hope you and the local kiwis enjoy this. I was going to put this on Mnorian's inspirational thread but though they are quite cute I'm not sure how inspirational kiwis are.
All the best and may your tinsel ever shine.

You sound like a useful man to know. My current project is bringing electricity from the house to an outside shed. I've put an underground cable through and I've put another length of tubing in the same trench thinking that later I may run through an ethernet cable. Some say parallel power and communication cables can give problems. Any thoughts?

You can run power and ethernet cable in the same trench but they should be spaced 6 inches apart in separate conduits. For the ethernet I would use cat6a cable which will run higher speeds and longer distances then cat5.

I've done a lot of yard work, but mostly getting rid of plants/brush not so much growing them. And the english speaking part of France; I was thinking of Brittany; from long ago history classes I remember it having ties with Great Briton; so much for history class.

Have a good day; go with the Lord.

Thanks - probably less than 6" some of the way - we'll see, must get light and power wired up first.

Tasha is beautiful !! We are in our summer here.
Sounds like there are handy men in this chat ,, I change light bulbs so consider myself clever [emoji2]

Hi Miche; hope you have a sense of humor (I've known one and she did) and this is from a down-under site: How many New Zealanders does it take to change a lightbulb? :) "16--One to change the bulb and fifteen to stand around and say "Good on yer, mate!"

And to be fair; here is one on my people: How many Oregonians does it take to change a lightbulb? "Nine. One to change the bulb, and eight to protest the nuclear power plant that generates the electricity that powers it."

Yo peoples!
We've got Eddie and Tasha now it's the amazing Scooby!

Scooby with lights.jpg
We're not doing a christmas tree this year so we thought maybe we could use Scooby instead. But he didn't want the job.
@ Mnorian - great selection of songs on the inspirational thread. Brenda Lee, BoneyM, ah those were the days! when music was - errr - music. See you got a load of Dylan on another thread. I rate him the best singer/songwriter/poet of my generation.
What music and singers do other people rate high?
As for light bulbs, you know don't you that you never need to change them. Just get as many people as possible into the room and get everyone to point hard at the bulb at the same time.
Surely everyone knows that many hands make light work.
