True, and worse yet ocean warming is preventing much of the terrestrial effects of global warming (so far) by acting as a gigantic heat sink. But the day of reckoning will come.

Yes....... especially with so much of the oceans dying.

I read an article in National Geographic about a decade ago where it was mentioned that forests and plans on land took out over four billion metric tonnes of carbon out of the atmosphere yearly.

The oceans took out somewhat less than four billion tonnes of carbon but as the oceans die...... this number grows lower and lower.

I had to read your post twice, but yes, I agree. Most of the heat (and CO2) is being absorbed by the oceans.
