Gun Barrel City (TX) police arrest armed man wearing ballistic vest threatening to shoot up a Walmart

Investigators found Martin was carrying a Glock 10MM semi-automatic black handgun, three magazines, one extended magazine, shooting ear plugs and wearing a ballistic vest under his hoodie. He was carrying a total of 63 rounds of 10mm.

Martin was arrested and charged with terroristic threat and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Per Wikipedia: The town takes its name from a former road, Gun Barrel Lane (which is now State Highway 198), and has as its motto, "We Shoot Straight with You", and its symbol—a rifle with two crossed antique pistols after having to remove Yosemite Sam as its unofficial mascot on its signs along the road at the town limits.

A guy plotting to try a shooting in a Walmart, in a town named "Gun Barrel" in Texas, sounds like a suicide mission if I've ever heard one.

While he's in jail, maybe he can work on his next plot to try to barge in and randomly punch a bunch of people at an MMA gym.
