  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our guild is nearing completion, we have the hall, and nearly 8 members with lvl 20 guys, so we look forward to having some fun GvG battles with ToJ and/or SoE. Did you guys merge, or what's the deal exactly?

Anyways, looking forward to it. :)

I do believe that there is a way to battle specific guilds. The only issue might be that if you hardwire what guild you're facing it may not rank things the same, it may not count for any rank, actually. Otherwise you might abuse this, in theory, setting up a dummy guild to wallop. I'm making guesses though, maybe it is for rank, just that if you wallop a guild that always gets beaten it doesn't give you much standing, so abuse is curtailed in that way.

I'm guessing out loud, we've only had one guild match, it was random, initiated on accident, and we lost it.

Anybody actually have more experience with this?

I'm hoping the storyline/mission aspect of the game is pretty long since I have no interest in pvp. From the look of the map, there should be a lot to do before the pve aspect runs out.

Edited to add: I have no interest in tournament style pvp, that is. I love the pvp in DAoC. It's the most perfect treatment of pvp I've ever seen in an MMORPG, in my opinion.

The missions/quests storyline is quite long if you do all the quests and try to get all the cities on your map. I still haven't beaten the very last mission with my lvl 20 character because it's so hard. :D Can't seem to find a group that's patient enough to stick through it when we all die.

And our guild ToJ is staying apart and separate from SoE. We have our very own GUILD HALL now and we have almost 4 members who are lvl 20, and a few more on the way in the coming weeks I'd imagine. :)

Guess who's back...back again...Br0k3n's back...tell a friend!

AWWWW YEAH!!! FINALLY got moved into the new house! It will be a few more days or so until I can play some GW, but we're in and now we're setting things up. Got the pc up first thing, and so now my priorities are setting it up, and getting a job to pay for it! HA! I know God will hook me up though, so I'm not worried. Any prayers would be appreciated. I picked up BF2, and the new NCAA Football '06 (ps2), for some non-GW goodness once in a while. I'm out...I'll write more later.

If you have the city Beacon's Perch and if you have from 2-3K in gold, you can get someone to run you to Draknor's Forge from Beacon's. That's how the lower level people get the best armor in the game and some good skills. To get there the way the game intends however, is by just doing the missions as they appear and when you're about 3/4 of the way through with the storyline, you'll get there.

I always thought it'd be this fiery place by the sound of it, but its serene and snowy actually.

How do you get to Droknar’s Forge? They have some skills there I want.
The mission at Sanctum Cay takes you across to the desert. In the desert there are three tough missions to do, if you complete them you can fight your double at Augury Rock. Do that and you 'ascend' to The Dragon's Lair. Do the mission there and you're dumped in Droknar's Forge. If the starting point of Sanctum Cay is not familiar to you, it's south and way west of Lion's Arch, down along the coastline after it curves around and starts running north to south. You can cheat your way to Droknar's, by getting a very skilled person to 'tow' you down there from Beacon's Perch, but I've heard that if you get there that way that the NPCs will not talk to you until you ascend, so it doesn't really help much to go that route. You can however skip all the missions in the far west and just walk to Sanctum Cay from the Bergen Hot Springs or even Lion's Arch, then just do Sanctum Cay out of order and then do the rest of the steps I outlined above. Most people do that with their second characters as it saves time, and by the second character they aren't as interested in the storyline.

I also don't understand how some people have skills that require areas that takes higher levels to get to, but they possess them any how...
What skills? Many skills can be found in multiple ways. Some skills can be acquired from a trainer, and as a quest reward, and can be captured off a boss as well. Usually one way is available sooner than another, so you might think the trainer for skill X isn't around 'till way later in the game, but skill X might be on a boss you could steal it from much sooner. Just an example.

These will help, btw.

Save your money, to complete critical quests you must ascend anyways, so don't pay to be run there.

The fiery place is the last area. :)

You need a Signet of Capture. You can buy it from the skill trainer in Quarrel Falls, I'm not sure what other city has them. You can only capture skills from either of your 2 own professions. After you kill a boss from either of your professions, use the Signet and a window will pop up showing you the skills that boss had. You can then pick 1 from the list and your Signet of Capture will turn into that skill you choose from the list. You must equip the Signet of Capture while in town like any other regular skill, on your skill bar. Also once used, your Sig of Cap will permanently become the skill you chose. Most often, people use this to capture Elite Skills which you can't buy from a skill trainer or gain through doing quests. Elite skills are very much worth going after, you can only equip 1 elite skill on your skill bar however.
