Maybe. I don't know. But you could reference the behavior of the children in Hogwarts to make a point without the children being real. For example, whether or not Noah existed, the story exists and "eating and drinking" is part of that story and the listeners knew the story understood(?) the point whether or not the story actually happened.

I had my son take a literature class so he could understand the rules for the interpretation of literature. It was a college-level class and I remember the book had been revised 22 times. There are different rules based on if we are looking at the literal or the archetypal symbolic Bible. The Hasidic study Kaballah - a deeper way of looking at the Bible. You only need the literal to be saved. The symbolic is more advanced and can become very advanced. Although children can understand Disney movies and they use archetypes.

If you want to know about gravity, ask Musk. It is pretty amazing the way he is able to land those rockets. Nasa use to spend billions and now they can buy space x rockets for a lot less money. The further you go from the planet the more money it is going to cost you for fuel. They may not know all there is to know, but there are some pretty accurate formulas that they use. Both my son's have degrees in engineering, so they know how to work with formulas and get the job done.
