Depends what you mean by gravity…

Gravity is a word which I can understand to mean the observable acceleration of objects in free fall on earth that is 9.81 meters per second per every second in free fall. It can be explained to some extent with things known with science. What explanation do you give for this observable acceleration of objects in free fall, that I understand the word gravity is meaning?
