Honestly, this whole line of reasearch began because of the use of witchcraft being used in the church. Instead of calling out a witch, just diffuse the source of their power quietly.

It's the antithesis of God if the conduit for the communication is a person. However, if the information is coming from God, it is a form of "prophecy".
